i liked this show ashley scott was so dam sexy in this show. idk if i buy that bruce would just leave i think if the show was not cancelled we would have seen bruce wayne or batman.

Birds of prey would hav been a lot bigger had it been called Gothem Knights or something and was not LIMITED to (boring) women characters unless it was stictly Lifetime and Oxygen telivition or something. That way even with OUT Batman you could have like Night wing and or we could have more 2nd to top tier villains, you could FINALLY have a justified on screen ROBIN and like they SHOULD do with Smallville you could have B.Wayne cameo's/appearances without ever using the cape&cowl +itd pls fans!

You do know that the original Black Canary was Dinah's Mom and she DIDN'T want her daughter fighting crime, right? In case you didn't, you should also know that the original Black canary didn't have the cry and Wildcat, Flash, and Green Lantern trained her to use the cry. At least that's what it said on the hero and Villain origins on DC's website.

Maybe they were trying to avoid too much comic book camp. I liked Dinah. I think the writers were going for someone who was not like the other 2 women. Dinah's character in my opinion got better especially in the episodes; Nature of the Beast, and Gladiatrix. She was obviously over eager to show Huntress, and Barbara that she could be effective. In time I could see her becoming less of a "teenage drama queen super heroine." The actress played her did need some dialogue coaching. There were time I couldn't understand her words. But all in all I liked the chemistry between the 3 women with Barbara being the mother to Dinah.
I really did not like this series. I know you said that you did not see the show Veronica Mars, but should check it out. Season 1 is really good and what I have seen of season 2 it is equaly as good. You should see it on DVD and review it

va liked the outfit and this portrayal of her also i thought the episode was really good mainly because it focused on Barbra and we got to she her in the batgirl suit which looked amazing. Also as you said the review, Lady Shiva looked laughable in that tight rubber suit. She doesn't even wear a "costume" in the comics at all. Most of the time, she wears either traditional Chinese clothing or what a assassin in the real world would wear.
I think that they shouldn't have mentioned Green Arrow in the show because it makes Black Canary still stand in Green Arrow's shandow because in the comics especially in Dixon's and Simone's runs on Birds of Prey that she is a great character especially without Green Arrow. Though as you said the show did her horribly.
Didn't Black Canary's mother didn't want her daugther to become Black Canary due to she wanted her daugther to live the life she wished she had when she was playing superhero as well as the world being more dangerous then it was when she was a superhero?

i liked Birds of prey.
it wasnt a great series.
but entertaining.
plus i liked that they used the huntress that was the daughter of batman and catwoman rather then the mob bosses daughter version.

Birds of Prey doesn't need a male hero. Tho a guest apearence here or there in later seasons would probably have happened.
