I have 650 and a 550. Like my 650 better than my 550. I have a few buddy that use lee, and when come over an I'm reloading they like to run my 650, it smoother, and they say its feel more solid than their lee.
HI ! I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU, YOU HAVE THE SAME DILLION AS I . MY QUESTION IS WHEN I SEAT THE BULLET MY CASE BUCKLES IN THE MIDDLE, IS THIS A CRIMPPING PROBLEM ? CAN YOU PLEASE HELP
I just got mine set up last Sat. I torqued the hell out of the priming tube nut and crushed a tip (my fault) ...won't do that again. Lucky for me there were 2 of each size. I'm very pleasantly surprised at the accuracy of the powder measure with bullseye. I am using lyman dies. I can't believe I single staged pistol rounds as long as I did.
Shoot (BANG!), want to talk about cost. I have the Dillon XL650 and toolheads for four rifle calibers and two pistol. At any rate I love my press. All I have to do is lube up the brass dump them in the casefeeder cycle the handle four times and then start placing bullets on the cases while cycling the handle until all brass is gone. You could buy three RL550Bs for what I got tide up in my press.
Yeah, it works, but there are too many handling operations. My second hand Lee Pro 1000 has a case collator that works every time feeding the case feed tubes. Which cost me $14. The only handling operation I have to do is sit a projectile in, pull the lever, and let the round fall in the bucket. I can also get 4 Pro 1000's, with dies, for 4 diferent cal, for the cost of 1 blue 550.
Lee is great too! The use the Dillon for Rifle Reloading too. I guess I am one of those guys who likes stuff that cost a lot : ) Look at my other vids, you will see I am a Lee fan too. I better be, I sell Lee products : ).
Lee equipment is good too. But some people in life who can afford the best buy the best. If I had my choice I would take the Dillon hands down over Lee. Lee does make some nice hand loading tools. When I started handloading over 40 yrs ago. I used Lee product and they did a satisfactory job.

Will this work with any brand die set?

A little voice about this would be nice. I hate videos with no narration.

Great Videos. Thank you for posting.
I have a DILLON 550B press. I really like it. I used to load on an RCBS Rock Chucker single stage. Man, that was slow and tedious!
