@Fatmanrolling38 Also I can easily make a video where I put Seph at easy difficulty and fling lightning at him while he runs around in circles. If Kefka was being played at Nightmare level he'd be flinging spells every half second, making ANY melee character in constant dodge mode.

@Sephiroth18769 ...Tellah, I can understand, but Galuf was a core member of the party in FFV, and died one of the most heroic deaths in FF history. How is he not important?
@TheHeroHartmut i don't know i think tellahs's death was more harsh, i mean he died SO miserably that he acted on impulse up until his death. and still he fought bravely. i thought tellah's death was more memorable
@McScreamo So surviving multiple attacks that bring him down to 0 freakin' HP doesn't make Galuf's death memorable at all? Tellah was blinded by the rage that consumed him by Anna's death, which does make his death more tragic (in the Shakespearean sense), but Galuf was a damned hero.
@TheHeroHartmut dude whoa you don't need to get all pissed off. calm down! i just said that i remembered tellah's death and thought it was more touching.
@McScreamo 'Pissed off''? ...Hmm. I didn't mean to come across that way. Upon retrospect, this WAS a stupid thing to protest so strongly about. In fact, it wasn't even entirely appropriate to this video, anyway.
Fair enough, then. Let's just agree that both deaths were both inherently tragic, and both characters are unsung heroes.
Kefka has no chance VS the mighty Sephiroth. Go back to the circus and make little magic tricks cause your magic is weak like in dissidia. Stupid Kefka bow down to your master Sephiroth
Sephiroth's crazy, right? He would be normal compared to Kefka. Kefka is just DESPERATE to kill all humanity. He's a nihilist. And he has an evil laugh.
not to start anything but i seem to remember reading a quote from one of the creators specifically saying that sephiroth is the strongest and nothing matches him. i just want the arguments to end...GOD. nice vid by the way.
actually if you consider that fact Sephiroth just wanted to destroy one planet during his madness while Kefka wanted everything dead even if it meant destroying the entire universe to do it...but Sephiroth does have an awesome blade and cool demeanor so I think the two are well balanced as villians
Sephiroth does not just want to destroy a single planet. He is the legacy of JENOVA. He wants to travel through the universe and absorb all life, not just the life of gaia. That's the desire he has from his "mother". He wants to be the ultimate existence, the ruler of all life.
One time, during a fight between me (as Sephiroth) and my brother Dave (as Kefka) I remarked in Sephiroth's voice, "Does the Joker know you're stealing his bit?" XD
lol you know sometimes i dont get why Sephiroth is so annoyed at losing to what he considred a rookie soldier as you Cetra have said he is arrogant when dealing with cloud and everytime cloud did something Sephiroth either could not forsee or just did not realize he could do. he should count his losses and move on to tormenting the flower girl in the lifestream.
YEAH! Go Sephiroth! Though I will admit that NO ONE can beat or even at least match Kefka Palazzo in Psychoticness, Sephiroth IS the only Final Fantasy villain that can kick his clown a55! XD Thanks for uploading this!
Not meaning to give the Kefka fanboys any ammo, but I have this idea about Sephiroth & Jenova. Now keep in mind that this is coming from someone who hasn't actually played VII, but knows the mythology behind, thanks to the FF wiki. In AC, Loz, Yazoo, and Kadaj are very emotional when they speak of Jenova, or "Mother." Kadaj even openly bawled when he thought he had lost the Jenova cells. Could this suggest that Sephi actually does love her on some level? Like I said, I haven't played *next post*
*cont*VII, so my knowledge is pretty limited. Just a theory I have, not saying it's right. Also, I wouldn't say that that makes Sephiroth a mama's boy, b/c if you wanna get specific, a mama's boy is a man that gives his mom control over his life, but with Sephiroth it was the other way around.
Kadaj and the others talk that much about JENOVA because of their desire to reunite themself. There is no need to compare how much Sephiroth "likes" JENOVA and Kadaj/Loz/Yazoo "like" it, because Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo are Sephiroth himself. They are his mind, with a body created with Geostigma and a new personality. They don't know that they are part of Sephiroth/Sephiroth himself but they have his desire of the reunion and they know that he returns with the reunion.
Indeed. It is because they want to do the reunion. Of course they talk so often about JENOVA because it's Final Fantasy VII and Square wanted to show as much as possible about Sephiroth and JENOVA - but the desire of the reunion is the story explanation.
I knew that their reunion was their ultimate goal, but I thought their emotional reactions could've meant that they-and by extension Sephiroth-actually loved Jenova. Thanks for setting me straight though.
No, he doesn't "love" JENOVA. He talks to it because it is his "mother" and he let JENOVA reunite itself while he controls his "clones" - because it is his "mother" - but there is nothing you can call "love".
I've seen your other comments on this video, so I knew you're very knowledgeable. I just wanted to add that in for anyone who reads my comment. I like them both, but if I had to pick one, I'd pick Sephiroth. I think he's more original. The insane sorcerer who wants to take over the world has been done many, many times. But Sephi's plan and motiviations were much more complex. As far as VI and VII goes, I actually think VII is better in general, or at least as far as plot goes.
Well, Sephiroth is a great sorcerer as well. His magical power is even stronger than his incomparable sword skills. And because of his mind and the power of the Cetra he has absorbed (the source of magic in Final Fantasy VII - aww I am sorry for the Final Fantasy VI fanboys who don't know that - yes, I love Final Fantasy VI but I am tired of it's offensive fans) he is the greatest wizard in Final Fantasy VII.
I knew he had powerful magic, especially after he no longer needed Materia, but I'm just used to thinking of him as more of a swordsman b/c most things I've seen him in (AC, Kingdom Hearts, Dissidia) he mostly uses his sword. One last thing I'm not clear on though. In AC, his power ascended to a whole new level. Why was Cloud able to defeat him? Was Sephi just playing around with him and underestimating him, or did he have some other motive?
And Cloud can never defeat Sephiroth because of strength - while fighting Safer Sephiroth the whole team fought him, the strongest heroes on the planet. Cloud always "defeats" Sephiroth only because of Sephiroth's only weakness: Arrogance.
Instead of killing Cloud Sephiroth wants to destroy his mind and all what's important for him first. But because of his character who toys around with Cloud (because of this arrogance) Cloud always gets angry and mobilizes by far more power. Sephiroth burns Nibelheim ---> Cloud gets angry. Sephiroth kills Aerith ---> Cloud gets angry. Sephiroth wants to take Cloud's most important things and break Cloud's mind before destroying the planet (in Advent Children).
Sephiroth never shows all of his power as you can see - to answer your question about Advent Children. Of course he has shown his power in the Final Battle of Final Fantasy VII - but that was teamwork and you see that even that can't destroy him forever.
Even the Ultimania Omega says that Sephiroth hasn't used all of his power in Advent Children and that Cloud had no chance against him but was at his limits of course then he has shown more power at the end of the battle call it the LIMIT Break.
And yes, so you can say because of his arrogance Sephiroth underestimates Cloud. But in fact Sephiroth is stronger so it's no wonder that he is that arrogant. And after all he must have a weakness, so that he can be "defeated", even if it is not for long.
Yes! Someone else who likes them both! You gotta admit they're both awesome, but in different ways. As far as the game goes, I like using Sephiroth better. Just a matter of personal preference I guess.
I use Sephiroth for the quick attacks and the bravery ownage. Kefka's gameplay seems to say "I like to play with my food." but I'll just take a quick win and continue on.
I can choose between a lot of themes in Dissidia and the chosen one will be played during my battle. And the One-Winged Angel you hear in this video is in Dissidia. Indeed.
Kefka is such a coward. Nice use of the black materia though (I think it was meteor, pretty sure anyway. Probably just a shard of the whole thing, considering black materia is on the level of planetary destruction).
1. You have to get the "Magic Pot" summon - you have to do Cloud's story two times; the first time it's only an auto summon.
2. After sixty battles you get the golden chocobo feather (check the counter in your character menue, so you know how much battles you have to fight - 60 is the maximum), so open your character menue after the 60. battle
3. Do as much battles until your next battle will give you EXP x 5.
5. Change your date on the psp to your special day (there is a special day in Dissidia).
6. Equip your character with the feather and the summon and use him/her during the next battle.
7. Fight Level ~ 100-105 X-Death and wait until he gets 9999 BP. Copy them with magic pot and finish him BUT use only 1 attack to finish him! If you don't you can't train 99 levels with this method so don't attack him before.
That's the funny thing. Train a character who won't be trained by you 99 levels during one battle first. You'll see that you can get the 40-100 Caps after it - no, you don't have to train him/her 99 levels so you are able to buy the caps - but you have to train him/her a lot - do it with magic pot, the feather, etc. and then you can train him fast enough. And then when you have the caps you can train your other characters with the complete X-Death method.
I am a Final Fantasy Freak so I got used to such things.
Oh, and when you train one of your characters to Level 30 you can buy the LV Caps 40-60, the train him/her to Level 60, et cetera and you will see that you can buy your Level Capabilities.
1. I've already said you have to fight the exact amount of battles which you can see in your character menue down on the right side.
2. I've already said I don't know if it was translated "Golden Chocobo Feather". I'll buy my german version the next days so I can't tell you the name at the moment.
I know it is hard for a newbie, but use a 9/9 X-Death. As long as you know how to evade it's no problem - and when you see he really gets you, you can use the start button and the "battle rematch" option before he defeats you and before this battle saves.
Oh, I don't know the english name of the feather - the are more chocobo feathers. But you will get the right feather if you do EXACTLY as much battles as you can see down on the right side of your character menue AND well...after that you will get the item in the character menue.
1. No character can cast cure. It would be to powerful if a character could heal him-/herself during a match. But you can use a cure ability later during the story line, the shade impulse line, et cetera. But not during the matches.
2. Go to the character menue. The first option is "abilities". With this option you can use equip your character his/her abilities (techniques like physical attacks or magic, action abilities, support abilities and extra abilities). Of course you have to learn more.
Unfortunately Jecht is in DIssidia because he has more story with Tidus. First Square-Enix wanted to put Seymour in, but he has more story with Yuna - so let's hope we can get Seymour as downloadable character or maybe in a Dissidia II.
I think Kefka's a better villain through and through. Feel free to call me a fanboy, but I have no problem with Sephiroth (though I do make fun of him sometimes; then again, I do that with all the villains. Mama's Boy, Annoying Clown, Tree of Death) at all. It's some of his own fans that irritate me. Now I haven't gotten any comments yet because my Kefka pic is recent, but after seeing some of the anti-Kefka/pro-Sephiroth comments on YouTube, I'm waiting for it.
The demo is certainly fun. I find myself toying with my enemies as Sephiroth. Only enemy I can't toy with safely is Cloud of Darkness. Her attacks punish pretty easily. Ugh... and that one technique where those tentacles flail about her in a spherical pattern is obnoxious. You know, when she says "Lash about!" Practically no Brave or HP attacks can break through it. She'd start it for a bit and I'd try to cut through with Octaslash but my attack is canceled and I'd lose a ton of Brave points.
As for how I toy with Kefka, I have the entire twelve minute version of Dancing Mad play. I don't use HP attacks at all, I just evade and counter-attack. Towards the end I'd allow him to use EX Mode before finishing him with Super Nova, the Octaslash at 9999 damage (overkill, probably). And so the 'god' falls. It's very entertaining to see the AI struggle for 12 minutes.
No. Not when you show facts. You are a fanboy if you don't stop to argue with idiotic comments like "mamma's boy can never beat Kefka, his Super Nova can't even kill you" because such because don't know what a real Super Nova does or things like that.
Ok thank you, I asked because in another Youtube video called "Jafar is Kefka" I noticed in the comments a lot of people saying that Kefka is better then Sephiroth & without giving reasons for it & then I decided to post a comment explaining like you've said before that Sephiroth & Jenova came back as Geostigma & caused the world to suffer & then the guy who posted the video SvarrChanston called me a fanboy for it so yeah thanky you Cetra29 & have a nice day.
It's obvious that Sephiroth wins because it's titled Sephiroth vs Kefka, not Kefka vs Sephiroth. Anybody else notice this about almost every Youtube video?
Kefka has strong defense? What? Usually magic users have strong offensive spells but a bad defense. Not to mention the fact that it was very easy to get 9999 damage on Kefka as the final boss in VI. You'd think he'd have bad defense in Dissidia too. So Kefka finally got better at defense eh? Nice going Kefka :)
Sephiroth is freaking awesome in this game. I started playing the demo since yesterday and his moves are bada**. I beat Kefka like 3 times in the demo with him xDD I like them both though. I just like Sephiroth a little bit more.
Lol, the person who wrote this comment has no brain at all. Sephiroth would wait cause he wouldn't attack enemies who are no worthy opponents. He shows that he isn't impressed by the enemies attacks and then he annihilates the enemy. Cloud is the only enemy Sephiroth attacks like he really wants to do. And even Cloud is not attacked by him with all of his power, cause Sephiroth toys with him.
So play the games and read the Ultimania Omega and be quiet then maybe one day...
...it won't be that humilating for you when you face me cause Sephiroth's battle position of standing around covering his face with masamune or holding masamune near his face or walking around slowly SHOWS his OVERconfidence.
im a kefka fanboy, but saying that sephiroth has an oedipus complex is a blatantly stupid comment. i just prefer kefka because he destroyed the world. THAT and i think a nihilistic psycopath for a villain is a very great idea. sephiroth is my second favorite,
The funny thing is, that Kefka fans actually use this as AN INSULT. I mean, Norman Bates had a serious Oedipus complex and he is the greatest villain in cinema history. Any comparison to him can only be taken as a compliment to good old Sephy.
But it is no compliment, because they don't mean it as a compliment and Sephiroth doesn't have an oedipus complex. He is no pervert AND JENOVA is an ALIEN. I mean...what the heck?
I know. But I like pissing fanboys off by pointing out that momma's boy = Norman Bates. Sephiroth cuts off his mother's head, which is not very loving indeed, he wants her power, nothing else. Sephiroth is in every way a better, more original and interesting villain.
Let's see... Forsaken vs. Supernova. Forsaken has higher base damage than Ultima, however it doesn't ignore defense and armor. So the damage it does is significantly cut down while Ultima's remains the same. Supernova leaves all characters with only 1/16 of their current health and causes status-effects, like Slow or Stop. And if Safer Sephiroth has some form of Haste on him, he could essentially eliminate each party member with little to no opposition using Shadow Flare or Pale Horse.
That's crap. First thing: Super Nova causes Slow, Silence and Confusion - nothing else.
And you have to compare story strength. Not battle strength. A real Super Nova (which Sephiroth can do) cannot be shown in a battle cause it destroys the planet for real and the story is over. Every single attack just shows, what a character/monster is able to do. You have to ignore the stats and effects. Super Nova is a solar system destroying thing and Goner is a very very strong spell.
Well EXCUSE me! I was kinda defending your point on how Sephiroth, if he actually tried his hardest, would be able to trump Kefka. I haven't played the game in YEARS mind you, so my memory's foggy on what status effects Supernova causes.
I was referring as to which of the final bosses' ultimate attacks was superior. Supernova trumps Goner/Forsaken, no questions asked, in that it does massive damage as well as status effects that could turn the battle in Sephiroth's favor.
fanboy; I like the villains equally. I'm just saying that both battle-wise and story-wise, Sephiroth trumps Kefka in terms of strength. But apparently you're not very good at differentiating supporters/allies, whatever, from enemies and others who argue against you.
Understandable. And you know what I find to be rather amusing? Kefka fanboys keep saying that Sephiroth has an Oedipus Complex. That couldn't be further from the truth.
If they actually studied psychology, they'd know that the Oedipus Complex is the desire of a son to eliminate his "competition" (ie the father) so he can sleep with his mother. Sephiroth has neither of those desires: he merely wishes to emulate Jenova and continue her work.
Ergo, that Oedipus Complex argument has been routed.
I know. Just look at the person who wrote a comment 15 hours ago. I hate it when people are trying to show how great they are cause they aren't and so I have the desire to show them that they aren't great.
Obviously that person doesn't know Sephiroth very well: Sephiroth toys with his opponents. He doesn't charge in with reckless abandon. Hence why Kefka says this about Sephiroth in Dissidia: "He's a sadist who looks down on others." Toying with his victims lets him make them suffer even more. Holding back is Sephiroth's style.
The villains who are by far downright impossible to ever fully destroy are Garland and Sephiroth. Garland exists in an endless temporal loop. He and Sephiroth are immortal
Indeed. Sephiroth and Kuja are the greatest characters ever - not only in Dissidia. But Terra, Kefka and Golbez are so great in Dissidia as well. I love to use those 5.
Yeah. Their gameplay does seem to be very effective. Major drawback for Terra is that she's slow on the ground.
I also feel bad for Kuja, both in FFIX and in this game. He was just a disposable tool to the Terrans in FFIX, and in Dissidia none of the other villains, save Garland (ironically) take him seriously.
And yet there are remnants of Jenova in the Lifestream; that's how Geostigma was spread. As long as they remain in there, Sephiroth will continually return.

actually if you consider that fact Sephiroth just wanted to destroy one planet during his madness while Kefka wanted everything dead even if it meant destroying the entire universe to do it...but Sephiroth does have an awesome blade and cool demeanor so I think the two are well balanced as villians
DarkGaara2007 2 years ago
Sephiroth does not just want to destroy a single planet. He is the legacy of JENOVA. He wants to travel through the universe and absorb all life, not just the life of gaia. That's the desire he has from his "mother". He wants to be the ultimate existence, the ruler of all life.
Cetra29 2 years ago
I know its just my sight on both of them bottom line is when it comes being a villian Kefka and Sephiroth are well matched
DarkGaara2007 2 years ago
Sephiroth is, in my opinion, perhaps the most chilling video game villain ever.

lol you know sometimes i dont get why Sephiroth is so annoyed at losing to what he considred a rookie soldier as you Cetra have said he is arrogant when dealing with cloud and everytime cloud did something Sephiroth either could not forsee or just did not realize he could do. he should count his losses and move on to tormenting the flower girl in the lifestream.

YEAH! Go Sephiroth! Though I will admit that NO ONE can beat or even at least match Kefka Palazzo in Psychoticness, Sephiroth IS the only Final Fantasy villain that can kick his clown a55! XD Thanks for uploading this!

3. Reply? I'm not replying to someone. Actually, I don't know, what you mean. The video? Then the answer is "to no one".
Cetra29 2 years ago
Not meaning to give the Kefka fanboys any ammo, but I have this idea about Sephiroth & Jenova. Now keep in mind that this is coming from someone who hasn't actually played VII, but knows the mythology behind, thanks to the FF wiki. In AC, Loz, Yazoo, and Kadaj are very emotional when they speak of Jenova, or "Mother." Kadaj even openly bawled when he thought he had lost the Jenova cells. Could this suggest that Sephi actually does love her on some level? Like I said, I haven't played *next post*
Sorakeyblademaster37 2 years ago
*cont*VII, so my knowledge is pretty limited. Just a theory I have, not saying it's right. Also, I wouldn't say that that makes Sephiroth a mama's boy, b/c if you wanna get specific, a mama's boy is a man that gives his mom control over his life, but with Sephiroth it was the other way around.
Sorakeyblademaster37 2 years ago
Kadaj and the others talk that much about JENOVA because of their desire to reunite themself. There is no need to compare how much Sephiroth "likes" JENOVA and Kadaj/Loz/Yazoo "like" it, because Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo are Sephiroth himself. They are his mind, with a body created with Geostigma and a new personality. They don't know that they are part of Sephiroth/Sephiroth himself but they have his desire of the reunion and they know that he returns with the reunion.
Cetra29 2 years ago
Ah, so it's b/c they want to be reunited, ok. Yeah I actually knew that they're the Remnants of Sephiroth, I just forgot to add that in :P
Sorakeyblademaster37 2 years ago
Indeed. It is because they want to do the reunion. Of course they talk so often about JENOVA because it's Final Fantasy VII and Square wanted to show as much as possible about Sephiroth and JENOVA - but the desire of the reunion is the story explanation.
Cetra29 2 years ago
I knew that their reunion was their ultimate goal, but I thought their emotional reactions could've meant that they-and by extension Sephiroth-actually loved Jenova. Thanks for setting me straight though.
Sorakeyblademaster37 2 years ago
No, he doesn't "love" JENOVA. He talks to it because it is his "mother" and he let JENOVA reunite itself while he controls his "clones" - because it is his "mother" - but there is nothing you can call "love".
Cetra29 2 years ago
I see now. Thanks for the explanation. And just for the final note, Sephi could definitely not be considered a momma's boy in any sense of the term.
Sorakeyblademaster37 2 years ago
You don't have to tell me that. I am the first one who shows fanboys the truth. But I am glad that you know what's true or not.
Cetra29 2 years ago
I've seen your other comments on this video, so I knew you're very knowledgeable. I just wanted to add that in for anyone who reads my comment. I like them both, but if I had to pick one, I'd pick Sephiroth. I think he's more original. The insane sorcerer who wants to take over the world has been done many, many times. But Sephi's plan and motiviations were much more complex. As far as VI and VII goes, I actually think VII is better in general, or at least as far as plot goes.
Sorakeyblademaster37 2 years ago
Well, Sephiroth is a great sorcerer as well. His magical power is even stronger than his incomparable sword skills. And because of his mind and the power of the Cetra he has absorbed (the source of magic in Final Fantasy VII - aww I am sorry for the Final Fantasy VI fanboys who don't know that - yes, I love Final Fantasy VI but I am tired of it's offensive fans) he is the greatest wizard in Final Fantasy VII.
Cetra29 2 years ago
I knew he had powerful magic, especially after he no longer needed Materia, but I'm just used to thinking of him as more of a swordsman b/c most things I've seen him in (AC, Kingdom Hearts, Dissidia) he mostly uses his sword. One last thing I'm not clear on though. In AC, his power ascended to a whole new level. Why was Cloud able to defeat him? Was Sephi just playing around with him and underestimating him, or did he have some other motive?
Sorakeyblademaster37 2 years ago
Yes, you see him as swordsman. But his magical power is even stronger than that.
Cetra29 2 years ago
And Cloud can never defeat Sephiroth because of strength - while fighting Safer Sephiroth the whole team fought him, the strongest heroes on the planet. Cloud always "defeats" Sephiroth only because of Sephiroth's only weakness: Arrogance.
Cetra29 2 years ago
Instead of killing Cloud Sephiroth wants to destroy his mind and all what's important for him first. But because of his character who toys around with Cloud (because of this arrogance) Cloud always gets angry and mobilizes by far more power. Sephiroth burns Nibelheim ---> Cloud gets angry. Sephiroth kills Aerith ---> Cloud gets angry. Sephiroth wants to take Cloud's most important things and break Cloud's mind before destroying the planet (in Advent Children).
Cetra29 2 years ago
Sephiroth never shows all of his power as you can see - to answer your question about Advent Children. Of course he has shown his power in the Final Battle of Final Fantasy VII - but that was teamwork and you see that even that can't destroy him forever.
Even the Ultimania Omega says that Sephiroth hasn't used all of his power in Advent Children and that Cloud had no chance against him but was at his limits of course then he has shown more power at the end of the battle call it the LIMIT Break.
Cetra29 2 years ago
Lol.
But you can even see that Cloud is completely defensive during his battle against Sephiroth in Advent Children.
Cetra29 2 years ago
And yes, so you can say because of his arrogance Sephiroth underestimates Cloud. But in fact Sephiroth is stronger so it's no wonder that he is that arrogant. And after all he must have a weakness, so that he can be "defeated", even if it is not for long.
Cetra29 2 years ago
Ah, I see now. Thanks for your explanation.
Sorakeyblademaster37 2 years ago
Yes! Someone else who likes them both! You gotta admit they're both awesome, but in different ways. As far as the game goes, I like using Sephiroth better. Just a matter of personal preference I guess.
Sorakeyblademaster37 2 years ago
I use Sephiroth for the quick attacks and the bravery ownage. Kefka's gameplay seems to say "I like to play with my food." but I'll just take a quick win and continue on.
wiseman2131 2 years ago
I actually thought it was a lot easier to beat Kefka with Sephie than it was to beat Sephie with Kefka. And you're right, he is a lot faster.

Of course you can. During Shade Impulse, et cetera. But there is a faster method to train them 99 levels during one battle.
Cetra29 2 years ago
Comment removed
DINOSHREDDER 2 years ago
Cetra29 2 years ago

1. I've already said you have to fight the exact amount of battles which you can see in your character menue down on the right side.

I know it is hard for a newbie, but use a 9/9 X-Death. As long as you know how to evade it's no problem - and when you see he really gets you, you can use the start button and the "battle rematch" option before he defeats you and before this battle saves.
Cetra29 2 years ago

Now I haven't gotten any comments yet because my Kefka pic is recent, but after seeing some of the anti-Kefka/pro-Sephiroth comments on YouTube, I'm waiting for it.

i think kefkas better to, the idea of a nihilistic psycopath clown for a villain was brilliant

Cetra29 2 years ago
That is fine by me.
JackRed666 2 years ago
The demo is certainly fun. I find myself toying with my enemies as Sephiroth. Only enemy I can't toy with safely is Cloud of Darkness. Her attacks punish pretty easily. Ugh... and that one technique where those tentacles flail about her in a spherical pattern is obnoxious. You know, when she says "Lash about!" Practically no Brave or HP attacks can break through it. She'd start it for a bit and I'd try to cut through with Octaslash but my attack is canceled and I'd lose a ton of Brave points.
UndecidedRPGplayer 2 years ago
As for how I toy with Kefka, I have the entire twelve minute version of Dancing Mad play. I don't use HP attacks at all, I just evade and counter-attack. Towards the end I'd allow him to use EX Mode before finishing him with Super Nova, the Octaslash at 9999 damage (overkill, probably). And so the 'god' falls. It's very entertaining to see the AI struggle for 12 minutes.

Just out of curiosity Cetra29, is saying Sephiroth is better then Kefka & giving a reason for it being a fanboy?
PwnerSonic 2 years ago
No. Not when you show facts. You are a fanboy if you don't stop to argue with idiotic comments like "mamma's boy can never beat Kefka, his Super Nova can't even kill you" because such because don't know what a real Super Nova does or things like that.
Cetra29 2 years ago
Ok thank you, I asked because in another Youtube video called "Jafar is Kefka" I noticed in the comments a lot of people saying that Kefka is better then Sephiroth & without giving reasons for it & then I decided to post a comment explaining like you've said before that Sephiroth & Jenova came back as Geostigma & caused the world to suffer & then the guy who posted the video SvarrChanston called me a fanboy for it so yeah thanky you Cetra29 & have a nice day.
PwnerSonic 2 years ago
These people are just ignorant. Ignore them and leave them alone with their foolishness.
Cetra29 2 years ago
You're right & that's exactly what I'll do because it's their own opinions but I still do think Kefka is cool as well.
PwnerSonic 2 years ago
It's obvious that Sephiroth wins because it's titled Sephiroth vs Kefka, not Kefka vs Sephiroth. Anybody else notice this about almost every Youtube video?
Poor Kefka.
KirbyPhelpsPK 2 years ago 2
Naah many people upload good Dissidia battles even if they loose.
And Kefka is not poor. He gets more defense than necessary.
Cetra29 2 years ago
Kefka has strong defense? What? Usually magic users have strong offensive spells but a bad defense. Not to mention the fact that it was very easy to get 9999 damage on Kefka as the final boss in VI. You'd think he'd have bad defense in Dissidia too. So Kefka finally got better at defense eh? Nice going Kefka :)
KirbyPhelpsPK 2 years ago
Not this defense. Fanboy defense.

EvangelinaAthanasia 2 years ago
Lol, the person who wrote this comment has no brain at all. Sephiroth would wait cause he wouldn't attack enemies who are no worthy opponents. He shows that he isn't impressed by the enemies attacks and then he annihilates the enemy. Cloud is the only enemy Sephiroth attacks like he really wants to do. And even Cloud is not attacked by him with all of his power, cause Sephiroth toys with him.
So play the games and read the Ultimania Omega and be quiet then maybe one day...
Cetra29 2 years ago
...it won't be that humilating for you when you face me cause Sephiroth's battle position of standing around covering his face with masamune or holding masamune near his face or walking around slowly SHOWS his OVERconfidence.

johohobo 2 years ago 2
AGREEED! LOL
shinokikaichu 2 years ago
Then you are definitely no fanboy. You are "just" a fan - and that is good.
Cetra29 2 years ago
The funny thing is, that Kefka fans actually use this as AN INSULT. I mean, Norman Bates had a serious Oedipus complex and he is the greatest villain in cinema history. Any comparison to him can only be taken as a compliment to good old Sephy.
Gaaraoftheoasis 2 years ago 2
But it is no compliment, because they don't mean it as a compliment and Sephiroth doesn't have an oedipus complex. He is no pervert AND JENOVA is an ALIEN. I mean...what the heck?
Cetra29 2 years ago
I know. But I like pissing fanboys off by pointing out that momma's boy = Norman Bates. Sephiroth cuts off his mother's head, which is not very loving indeed, he wants her power, nothing else. Sephiroth is in every way a better, more original and interesting villain.
Gaaraoftheoasis 2 years ago
Let's see... Forsaken vs. Supernova. Forsaken has higher base damage than Ultima, however it doesn't ignore defense and armor. So the damage it does is significantly cut down while Ultima's remains the same. Supernova leaves all characters with only 1/16 of their current health and causes status-effects, like Slow or Stop. And if Safer Sephiroth has some form of Haste on him, he could essentially eliminate each party member with little to no opposition using Shadow Flare or Pale Horse.
UndecidedRPGplayer 2 years ago
That's crap. First thing: Super Nova causes Slow, Silence and Confusion - nothing else.
And you have to compare story strength. Not battle strength. A real Super Nova (which Sephiroth can do) cannot be shown in a battle cause it destroys the planet for real and the story is over. Every single attack just shows, what a character/monster is able to do. You have to ignore the stats and effects. Super Nova is a solar system destroying thing and Goner is a very very strong spell.
Cetra29 2 years ago
Well EXCUSE me! I was kinda defending your point on how Sephiroth, if he actually tried his hardest, would be able to trump Kefka. I haven't played the game in YEARS mind you, so my memory's foggy on what status effects Supernova causes.
I was referring as to which of the final bosses' ultimate attacks was superior. Supernova trumps Goner/Forsaken, no questions asked, in that it does massive damage as well as status effects that could turn the battle in Sephiroth's favor.
I'm not a Sephiroth
UndecidedRPGplayer 2 years ago
fanboy; I like the villains equally. I'm just saying that both battle-wise and story-wise, Sephiroth trumps Kefka in terms of strength. But apparently you're not very good at differentiating supporters/allies, whatever, from enemies and others who argue against you.
UndecidedRPGplayer 2 years ago
Oh of course I know what you mean. I just wanted to show you things which were wrong before a Kefka fanboy does.
Cetra29 2 years ago
Understandable. And you know what I find to be rather amusing? Kefka fanboys keep saying that Sephiroth has an Oedipus Complex. That couldn't be further from the truth.
If they actually studied psychology, they'd know that the Oedipus Complex is the desire of a son to eliminate his "competition" (ie the father) so he can sleep with his mother. Sephiroth has neither of those desires: he merely wishes to emulate Jenova and continue her work.
Ergo, that Oedipus Complex argument has been routed.
UndecidedRPGplayer 2 years ago 3
I know. Just look at the person who wrote a comment 15 hours ago. I hate it when people are trying to show how great they are cause they aren't and so I have the desire to show them that they aren't great.
Cetra29 2 years ago
Obviously that person doesn't know Sephiroth very well: Sephiroth toys with his opponents. He doesn't charge in with reckless abandon. Hence why Kefka says this about Sephiroth in Dissidia: "He's a sadist who looks down on others." Toying with his victims lets him make them suffer even more. Holding back is Sephiroth's style.
The villains who are by far downright impossible to ever fully destroy are Garland and Sephiroth. Garland exists in an endless temporal loop. He and Sephiroth are immortal
UndecidedRPGplayer 2 years ago 4
Do not forget Ultimecia, Zemus and Dark Cloud.
Cetra29 2 years ago
Very true. Honestly, I can't wait to get this game on August 25th. My two main characters will undoubtedly be Sephiroth and Kuja.
And looking at your videos, I find you to be the best Sephiroth player I've seen on YouTube. I certainly wouldn't want to face you. Not anytime soon.
UndecidedRPGplayer 2 years ago
Indeed. Sephiroth and Kuja are the greatest characters ever - not only in Dissidia. But Terra, Kefka and Golbez are so great in Dissidia as well. I love to use those 5.
Cetra29 2 years ago
UndecidedRPGplayer 2 years ago
Lol, Kuja shows how cool he is. He calls Kefka an idiot and wants to test Garland but loses interest when Jecht wants to join.
Cetra29 2 years ago
Kuja calls Kefka an idiot? Oh now that's great! Now I like Kuja even more than I did before.
