I read once that Hysteria was produced in a way that every song was a potential # 1 on the charts. All these years later I am still obliged to agree. I was only 11 when it came out. This song and this album get more play on my ipod than any other song or album to this day. It is one of the few albums I can start on track 1 and listen straight through.
mrrobled........ your comment make me feels that im not only one who understand what music is :) im 20 years old and this song brings me so good memories \,,/(^_^)\,,/
I remember hearing this for the first time in about 1995. I was seven years old then. It put such a feeling in a little girls heart. Autumn wind and city sun. Beautiful memory.I'll never forget it. Thanks for this!

Im 36 and the 80's had the best rock music ever!! Love def leppard, skid row, motley crue and guns n roses/ Theyre all i used to listen to and still listen to them now. No one will ever be able to create music like this again x
I was 14 in 1980 so I got to grow up in my teenage years listening to the 80's music and all I can say is there will never ever be music again like the 80's it was the best then and still the best now if we could only turn back time !!

I was 13 when this album came out. I'm now 36 and a mother of 3 and showed my oldest son who is 8 the video for "Sugar" and his comments were.."wow..those lasers are awesome..I can't believe the drummer has only 1 arm..." and then the best comment.."how come music isn't this cool now?" :)
@rileyalexrose10 you've got a winner!!! My son loves hair metal too, either genuinely or because I perpetually expose him to it, leaving him no other choice.
i love this song and it was the song that really got me into def leppard in the first place it's also my lucky song cus this gets the girls chatting me up
Great song by a great band, I grew up in the 80's and here I am over 20 years later still listening to them. I just bought the Rock of Ages Definitive Collection, a good buy! Rock on Leppard!
I'm an 80's child :) I'm so glad to have been part of such a special time. We'll never have that again. Big hair, being young, "dumb", and in love... these songs take me back. Aaaah, my parachute pants! Maybe those will make another come around??? lol
back in the 80's i was so excited to watch rage, to see all the amazing bands that used to be. now i couldnt be stuffed, music is slowly losing its power, its not how it used to be. its sad really :(
I love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brings back so many memories and emotions from when I was a teenager!!!! Def Leppard was the BEST!!! ZWhoooooooooo yea baby!!
Kurt Cobain collected turtles because I nicknamed Joe Elliott "Turtle" after I found out he was not circumcised. Courtney Love was also known to be pictured with a turtle for promo shots. Kurt was on the 1983 Rock Till You Drop tour road crew when I met them. Courtney showed up in late '84 wanting a role in Sid & Nancy which was Kurt's brainchild.

@mark197ify i believe he was in a automobile accident and the band waited for his recovery before they resumed touring, if I can remember back that far and i hope that is correct, there was a doc on tv about them
This songs, when released, was far ahead of time. And after 25 years it has not lost none of its potency. I realize how lucky I was to be able to live and experience the 1980s. Those days are not going to come back. The world is different now, I am sad to say!
@atulur OMG I have tears in my eyes listening to this stuff. I am an old fat fart now. When this came out I was slim and good looking (ish). Love this music and the other 80's stuff. Can't beleive it but this reminds me of my wife that I met in 1988. Still married. Still love her and this song.
my dad brought me up with all of the great bands and i just fell in love with them all im 20 now and what great memories i have from this music and my basic opinion is that todays generation of artists will never get close to any band with a guitar in from 70s,80s and early 90s after that they just killed everything
when this album came out i got the cassette and it did not leave the car stereo for months and months and then i took up guitar and i am 44 and still going strong as a lep fan and have seen them twice now.i believe certain music can have a magic element that surrounds it and remains timeless despite fads and trends that come and go.
this song got me into def leppard the first time i watch the video and even so i know this on guitar it's one of the best songs from that album and ever before i go out on the town i listen to this song and i end up with a girl chatting me up
Def leppard did this song in 2008 with taylor swift. on a show called CMT crossroads taylor swift / def leppard. where joe elliott sang a few taylor swift songs. it was something different. where rock meets country.
smart people know what good music is. age doesn't fucking matter. only reason this music isn't as popular with people my age (teenagers) is because it isn't being promoted (read, shoved down their throats) by the record labels. every one of my friends who i have introduced to this music loves it. sadly the majority of teenagers don't think for themselves and just listen to what everyone else is listening to which, at the moment, is crap. eventually it'll change, hopefully sooner than later.
sometimes when i listen to music like that, and i think about what my generation listens to, i just want to hug my dad and thank him for teach me what real music is :)
what happened too this musicc?!?! we let blackk niggas take over the world sorry but its the truth but anyways im a 80s metal head and i love def leppard , Motley crue, poison, ratt, skid fuckin row, ozzy all the REAL MUSIC hopefully this will come back one day
@scaston15632 damn right! the shit rap music is deatrh to society, protest it anyway you can, fuck the niggas, bring back the amazing stuff that high school dances where made of!!!!!!
I saw Def Leppard in 88 the arena was packed and the concert was great it was guys and girls not just a bunch of screaming girls for some kid who has blond hair and is what I say gonna be looking old and yukky like the other boy bands soon
@CSBABA we're just saying that people in our generation are not all ''OH, justin bieber!!!!"'. Some young people still do have good taste in music even if we were born in a generation of pretty horrible bands/singers.
Out of touch Out of reach yeah You could try to get closer to me I'm in love I'm in deep yeah Hypnotized I'm shakin' to my knees, such a touching song, it still gives me that WOW feeling just like it did back then
i went to see this band in concert in the 80s with my fiance back then now my husband Tesla opened for them Def Leppard's bus was in an accident the band arrived late had the choice of performing or postponing the concert of course they performed even did a bunch of encores for everyone a girl there gave the lead singer a tee shirt and he took his own shirt off and put it on i have the most upright respect for this band the concert was awesome i loved every minute of it.one of my best memories
@juicycouturegirlx0x0 I agree when MTV first came on the air back in August 1st of 1981.they had the first Bringing on the heartbreak from the high and dry album.it was a hit.then came Pyromania back in 1983 then Hysteria.I can not believe Hysteria Went Platnuim 12 time since it's release back in 1987
@lunqs k first of all, your comments are pointless. i never asked to be top comment so that people would comment and hate. I was just stating that my generation is not lost. People still do have good taste in music. K bye.
@juicycouturegirlx0x0 You wanted to be an attention whore, and you got it. You probably only heard this song one day and are like, OMG I LUV DEMEMEMEMEMDMEMDEMDMEDMEMD.
@juicycouturegirlx0x0 r u sure you're asking me why? how silly...first: I love def leppard too. 2nd: most of the DL girl fans are hot. 3rd: you're underage and I'm 19. now use you're high school brain to find out why I said it with these 3 facts.
I was 13 when I heard this song that was on 1998 I'm old nowwww Lol

Why do I hate people who claim to be teenagers and pride themselves in liking old rock bands?
CSBABA 1 month ago
@CSBABA we're just saying that people in our generation are not all ''OH, justin bieber!!!!"'. Some young people still do have good taste in music even if we were born in a generation of pretty horrible bands/singers.

i went to see this band in concert in the 80s with my fiance back then now my husband Tesla opened for them Def Leppard's bus was in an accident the band arrived late had the choice of performing or postponing the concert of course they performed even did a bunch of encores for everyone a girl there gave the lead singer a tee shirt and he took his own shirt off and put it on i have the most upright respect for this band the concert was awesome i loved every minute of it.one of my best memories

K bye.

@80sHardRockLover why?
juicycouturegirlx0x0 1 month ago
@juicycouturegirlx0x0 r u sure you're asking me why? how silly...first: I love def leppard too. 2nd: most of the DL girl fans are hot. 3rd: you're underage and I'm 19. now use you're high school brain to find out why I said it with these 3 facts.
