@crazylio depends on what you do to it. i had a ps2 drumset that broke on the 1st day, got anouther one and it lasted me a year already and my xbox one has lasted a week+ so far.
Nice vid, first played the drum set today, is great fun but is there a solution for making the drums quieter when you hit them, apart from spending loads of money on custom pads?
So 3 weeks after you first played the GH drums you were this good? Nice one.
Are you any good on the guitar? I first picked up the GH guitar about 5-6 weeks ago. Ive just endured the transition from medium to hard. I thought id never be able to do it but i seem to have cracked it.
How long have you been practicing to get this good? I got my drum kit about 2 weeks ago and i just about reached good enough to play most of the songs on hard but a couple of the later ones i can only manage on medium.
That's good for 2 weeks. I think I made this video after about 3 weeks of having the game. I think I'm a lot better as of now - I could FC this tune if I gave it a few tries.
Keep at it. Once you can "read" the charts, learning to play them is pretty easy.
A MIDI cable is just a cable which transmits digital event information between two pieces of hardware.
In this case, you hook it up to your drumkit and your computer, then use the tuner program provided by Activision to individually raise or lower the sensitivity of the drum pads, cymbals, and kick pedal. Then that sensitivity will be saved on your drumkit's hardware so that you only need to "tune" it once.
Go to Activision's support website and select Guitar Hero: World Tour. Then there's a special section that walks you through problems you're having with your drum kit, and it eventually allows you to place an order for the free cable and a link to the tuning software.
It is obtained by Activision. Google for Activision support, and you'll eventually find the support entry for drum pad sensitivity problems. That contains a link to the tuner program as well as instructions on obtaining the cable.
You may have to make an account on the support site to open a ticket to request the free cable.
good job man i really like your videos i can beat this song on expert also, oh and where you doing the pedal or where u using a cheat, just wondering anyways keep up with the good work
Thanks for the tip. I think the terrible microphone in my camcorder is amplifying the sound of the pads though. I like the timbre of the World Tour pads and cymbals, but one of these days I will invest in a decent dynamic microphone and preamp so that I can record some reasonable audio.
I'm really not sure. Some early production ones required massive sensitivity adjustments (like mine), but it has been performing pretty perfectly since I got it on launch day.
The only things I have broken are the two plastic tabs that can flip up to hold the drumsticks.
Very nice ive been to a concert in holland from joe satriani he is so good!
i love cool 9, ice9 , summer song, satch boogie , ten words , surfing with the alien, starry night , i just wanna rock , crowd chant , the extremist , always with me always with you and all the other songs! xD
The cymbal activation is pretty cumbersome, but the nice thing is that you can either use it during an empty section, or use it during a drum hit. If the latter, your combo won't break if you activate properly. That means the only time you can't activate would be in a really fast section.
so are you saying if you activate properly then the note that needs to be hit will be hit without actually hitting it? idk theres always the obvious but hey, people did want GH to be harder. i guess neversoft took their word except for the guitar, they killed it i mean stach boogie as the last song? in GH2 it would have been in like the 3rd or 4th tier.
I *believe* so. I'm not sure if you actually get points for the note you miss while activating, but it certainly doesn't break your combo.
I actually only failed Satch Boogie on guitar as I was playing through on expert. I found the hammer-on part to be just annoying. Managed to pass all the other songs on guitar my first time through. I agree that overall the songs are easier.
Update on the above: activating on a note does *not* count as a hit, although it will not break your combo. I FCed a song but activated on a high hat + snare hit, and I was not given the FC due to missing the snare. The funny thing is that the breakdown stats show 100% for every section! The guys at Neversoft probably didn't think SP activation for drums through quite far enough.
Nice job

I haven't tried anything. The pad sounds are not bad at all. They're all much more pleasant than what you hear on the video.

you mention something in your description about Red Octane providing a Midi Tuner program and a Midi Cable? For PC? And if so, how did you get it?
Great Job by the way!!!

the drums sound so much when you hit them, a tip is to put mousematts cut out in the shape of the drums on top of them. really does wonders
