The ONLY reason I went back to motorcycling was this little baby. Stopped from doing kendo by knee cartilage problems, all I had was a mountain bike. Riding by the Kawasaki dealer in '99 I saw this bike. Problem solved--you can't do kendo -- you _can_ ride! Properly -- on a proper motorbike! Yesss! we have been together for 6 years now and 20,000 + lovely miles!
Lovely bike. I bought a 2001 new and just recently sold it after having bought a KLX250S. They were kind of ignored when they were available in the US, but there is a real demand for them now, it was the only bike I ever sold that I missed after it was gone.
that bike is sweet. purely vintage. i do like the wind faring. but the naked air cooled parallel twin is to die for. i love the sound...keep the videos coming.
Once ive passed my test im getting one of these i hope. Love the look hope its a good bike .

@omarct Looks are one thing, comfort another. If I was going to use mine for long-distance work, I'd have a shield like that. Wind blast is tiring...

Had one just like it - same year, color - everything. I wrecked mine in 2006 and now Kawasaki only produce for the home market.
