@mepain1 gameplay in ME1 was an RPG. had loot, had skills, for fuck sakes it had more than 3 guns per skill and had ARMOR. light medium and heavy. also had FAR better enemy encounteres, and talents where fucking AWESOME.

gameplay in ME2 was a bad gears of war clone. skill were basicly (2%more damage, 2.5% more damage, MAX SKILL! 3% damage...) had NO LOOT. so you get 3 SHIT weapons per skill. talents where SHIT! which made biotics UBER weak. comeon, armor? and then, of course... heat clips

@cissa496 well id argue that having an overheat added a stat to weapons. with better weapons you not only had better damage and accuracy, you had better heat. also it balanced weapons like shotguns and sniperrifles, making them overheat faster. but you could always stick a special item of loot into your weapon to make it overheat slower. im not saying you cant do rpg elements with heat clips (like more bullets before you need to use another heat clip) in ME2, they just dint.

You misunderstood me, I haven't said Halo is a bad series, actually it is very fun, but it isn't the masterpiece that advertising and game reviews talk about, different from Mass Effect, which can be considered this generation space opera and it's a common example of the argument that video games can be considered art, something that Halo isn't.

Normally I like playing games without watching trailers about it or reading general marketing, I've learned about Mass Effect from a friend in late 2010, I didn't know the franchise yet (believe it or not) but I bought, played and liked, same with the sequel.

The Mako is an incredible piece of machinery. An IFV that has the ability to climb NEAR-VERTICAL ICE WALLS, a huge-ass gun, Jump jets that can take you hundreds of feet, not to mention dodge missiles, and has a fender which can knock infantry into the next sector.

This machine survived atmospheric re-entry and the only thing that was off was the fact that the wheels were damaged.

Meanwhile the M44, while being a flying tank, has a hull made out of rice paper.

Put elements of both in ME3.
