when a petrol car is in gear it just keeps moving forwards unless you put the clutch down, when you stop at traffic lights do you just let go of the accelerator?
@katakisLives i guess so as the motor doesn't need to spin all the time like a petrol car so the motor would stop when the car stops and start when the car moves
No gears and no clutch! electric rules! It drives like a car? I'd prefer some more description of this feel, like the kind of torque you get from pushing down the gas pedal and the engine retard from lifting off the gas!
Why do owners of the 14000 pound car rent the batteries. One would think the batteries would come with. I would except a cheaper battery with a shorter range.
I was being very imprested untill that little fact of the rental of the batereys are you with me.i would rather own the bathery and have to replace them when thay are worn out just like you do with sevacing but you would more than make up for that in the amout of savings form fule. Very disapinted
Hold on £14'000 to buy then you have to pay another £100 a month battery rental on top of that...... er... no thanks, £14'000 is a lot for a two seat car (that isn't a sports car) and £100 a month is a fucking joke... maybe if it was like £20 a month then I'd think about it but £1'200 a year battery rental feels like being raped up the arse.
Some how I doubt it, we'd just be trading being big oils bitch to being the battery companies bitch, if you'll pardon the pun, I think, think had better have a rethink about the think
there are some companies in england that offer u to hybridise ur current car for much much much less than this...prices varying from 2000pounds to 4000 pounds
0:20 It's on - engine's runnig??? And I thought engines only running if you drive...

I've heard they want to put sound boxes on the front of electric cars! I'd much prefer my electric car to be a silent runner.

An 8 hour charge time seems quite a lot. In comparison there are some electric cars which will charge 80% in 15 minutes and 100% in an hour

I thought in London the steering wheel is on the right side. Is that an American version? Is it legal to drive American cars in London?
AraytaDenimore 3 years ago
It's not an American car. It's a Norwegian car in London with a Norwegian number plate.

Lovely.
His first comment is; "It feels very car-like."
What was he expecting? Amphibious landing craft handling?
Space Shuttle handling?
Golf cart handling?
I feel like the first few times I plug in my first EV it'll be weird, but after that wears off it will feel like a totally natural thing to do.
And then it'll seem like going to a gas station to pump gallons of smelly poisonous HIGHLY FLAMMABLE liquid into a car will seem utterly ridiculous.
Because it is.

100 pound a month for renting batteries. Isn't it a little pricey? It would be 200$ us dollars a month to rent batteries.
bladerunner1004 3 years ago
Little to no maintenance cost, very low recharging cost. I think it's worth it. Especially since you don't have to pay to replace the battery.
