i was thinking about buying quad sli is it really worth it right now i have a gts g92.i herd it lags for some reason is that true?

Yep.. It´s true, unfortunately.. For i have noticed, some games lags very badly on sli confiquration.. One example is Gears of war, it stutters all the time, and when i disable sli, it runs smoothly.. ._.

how does the cpu bottleneck the sli?

Cpu can´t do it´s own part of picture rendering process as fast as gpus can draw their own part, so it´s slowing down a performance.. That´s why professional overclockers usually overclocks their processors as much as possible to avoid the cpu being a bottleneck for the gpus..

oh I see. you think a 3,2 ghz daul core is a bad bottleneck? I don't know if it is but it probably will be. how bout on just one 9800?

Hmm.. Nvidia mentioned that even 4 core processoros are bottleneck for one 9800 gx2.. Don´t know if it´s true, but i just say, what they said.. If you mean 9800 gtx, then i don´t think it´s any kind of bottleneck for that gpu..

But 3d mark vantage takes great advantage of multi gpu configuration.. It runs like twice so smooth than with sli (One 9800 gx2 in this case).. :)

wow!!! i never thought that this will run at more than 60 frames per seconds, must have took you lots of "grands" for this setup

:) Yep.. But still, some games like Gears Of War runs much smoother without Quad SLI.. It seems like that game is loading something all the time, very bad slowdowns ones, allmost ones in every 10 meters of running around.. Without SLI, there is no such problem.. ._.
