lol an actual "nice" gaming laptop is gonna run you 2-5 grand USD if you want a laptop that can run current games "new releases" at lowest settings and at a 25-40fps your still looking at a price range of about 800-1500USD

for what this laptop has i would estimate it's price nowadays would be about 2300USD "it's over a year old now and wont last that much longer as a gaming laptop,

soon it'll just be another multipurpose media laptop

i saw this. I was thinking of getting it. But the i dont really like the 1600 resolution. The words are too small and 13.1 inch is too small for gaming. Watching vids on youtube is small too

As I know, one of the most powerful 13" notebook is the dell studio xps 13 with its geforce 9600 but it's kinda bulky at 4.85lbs so you may take a look of the macs with 9400

Good reveiw, and awsome laptop. But I highly doubt it can take FarCry 2 or Crysis easily. Pretty sure its only 256mb of video? and I doubt a cetrino notebook cpu is par with high end desktop cpus. Could you show us a video of this thing playing Crysis??

Actually the Z series should support Vista 64 but doesnt sell with it. I talked with a friend that works at the sony store, and it should take up to 8gb of ram. But Sony doesnt officially support Vista 64 and I was wondering if anyone out there has experimented with it on the Z.

This is one of the only things that the dell e4300 beats the Z in.

$4,000? i was at sony's website today and the z model is $1,700. and that is the 13 inch. the only lap tops they are showing thats more then that is the 11 inch lap tops. this must be an older model...?

Vista Ultimate, blu-ray and 1600x900 LCD will add a bit, but the 2.8GHz CPU is only on Japanese models last time I checked.

The trick tat wowopowcom jus mentioned does let the Vista 32bit to see 4GB ram, but too bad it will not fully utilized it. And only the Vista 64bit can fully utilized it.

You can check on Microsoft website regarding it, i oso learned abut it from the website.

thanks for the review.. I'm planning to get one soon but I want 1366X768 with 256MB vram? 1600X900 would be too small for my eyes. Since I could't find any 1600X900 to try in my local sonystyle I need to ask you.. will I able to change the resolution to 1366X768 if I get it. what should I do?
