In rating all-time songwriting greats (with an emphasis on lyrics) I would list Elvis up there with Cole Porter, Ira Gershwin, McCartney/Lennon and Leonard Cohen
@TheKenfig Yeah sure, I do not doubt that. But this album is very complete. The music is just absolutely marvellous but the lyrics of all the songs of that album have a deep meaning ;).
@PISSGUZZLER Well I did say it IS my fav album by him although it's not the most easiest task to choose 'favourite' albums for me, even when I try as there are way too many that are superb that I love for different reasons
Yes, when you bought the album you got the bonus 45 rpm with the live Accidents Will Happen, right? I think it was live at the Hollywood High, if I remember correctly.
I believe it says Armed Forces, the name of the album. As for getting a copy, there are a number of ways, without me having to go into detail about it here@emjlev13
@POOPLULZFART Yeah hasnt the world changed ? ; can you imagine contemplating 30 years into the future ? but it seems to have gone so fast since then when the 70s went so slowly !
