Our native marsupials are being killed off by these pests, Quolls in the N.T r rapidly loosing the fight becuase of this Pest i understand they r a old couple and see the joy in the lil buggers But if we don't act NOW!, we will loose many of our Great animals and all that will be left is Foxes, Hares, pigs and the canetoads!

I'm a proud Queenslander and i hate Canetoads WE DO NOT LOVE THEM! and shame on you for making QLDRS look like this.

They were brought over to a foreign land and introduced.

And you do realize that cane toads only squirt the poison when they are attacked, right?

When animals try to eat them, the toads poison is a defense mechanism!

@ElectricShark Agreed that it is of course the peoples fault by introducing them in the first place, but they have a devastating effect on everything there. Their poison has no foul smell or taste so it does signal the predator know what they are eating can kill them. They have no bright colors like most poison insects or animals to ward off any potential attackers. There is an over abundance of them, so getting rid of them from one area of the world where they have virtually no benefits seemsok
