I went to A&M from 1982 till 1986 it took a lot of effort to get in, a 3.5 GPA minimum but after I did there were No dorm rooms, No parking and classes were packed at 70 students per class sometimes more..........how did they expect people to get to class if they lived off campus then, sorry to say but this school is way over rated

i live in college station and i love the wine and grape festival o the to main streets of town i think its the best place ever i am hoping to go to a&m =) i cant wait =) i have not missed one college game yet in a whole 14 years not 1=) i ove it and thanks for being an amazing town u have so much to see and i love it bunches
I will be attending Texas A&M this upcoming fall and I don't think any other Aggie would disagree with me when I say that this is by far one of the greatest honors. I am so lucky to be in the Aggle Family! Gig 'em!

Though the SEC is no doubt the best conference in the nation, A&M will compete or win the big 12 next year or in 2 years, because they have a VEEEERY young team (youngest in college football) and with good coaching they will be VERY succesfull

Howdy everybody! Living thousands of miles away, and at age of 56 i still consider myself an aggie young lad. I remember two years of my life spent at the University as MY LIFE. I love streets of Aggieland. I know that the southside apts where i used to live are no more there (demolished for construction of Bush Library, i suppose). I hope i'll walk round its streets one day again and touch its trees and smell the leaves and flowers. I cherish each and every moment that i spent there.
i have been to A&M classes with my mother a few times and was treated so well and kind it made me into an Aggie alreadya t the age of 8 now i am almost 15 and still and true to A&M and it's mighty-ness lol.
I do hope to attend this University in my future and hold an open space in my heart to be filled with memories to come there as my mother had.

Yes your chances may be higher. I know somebody that actually talked to someone who worked for admissions, and she said your essay is very very important. You want to try and make them cry. it also depends on what their mood was.
You have to have a minimum of 2.5 GPA to get into the University. Each college has its own minimum after that, and you have to meet that GPA to be considered competitive in the admissions process. For example i think the College of liberal arts you need a GPA of 3.0 to be competitive.

Just for the record... All sports combined A&M is 3rd in confrence championships in Big XII history behind Texas and Nebraska with 31total... In football A&M is tied with Colorado and KSU for Confrence championships and has more conf. champs than ISU, Mizzou, KU, texas tech, Baylor and OSU... and in SWC history A&M had the second most titles (17, 15 outright) while tech had 2 titles 0outright... That means that tech has never been the sole winner of a confrence title in football...

Its a City in Texas and it happens to be the greatest city in the south! I'm stuck here in dullsville (Albuquerque NM) !!! They have the coolest thing in the winter where there are these lights and you can go hayriding through them and stuff or go in your car and its so beutiful and its not cheap lights either there like ... amazing! @007intense admittedly Austin has a better finance department, however if you are coming for the experience as well as an education then hands down you need to choose A&M. you will not find a friendlier campus here in the US, and as the video says the traditions here are something you really have to experience for yourself.

um you should probably check your facts many of their athletic programs have been big 12 champions many times... maybe they're football team isn't the best but its been improving and now with a new coaching staff they will likely only get much better...
texas atm won the big 12 championship in baseball last year. they went 27-7 last year in basketball and made it much farther in the postseason then the longhorns did. their football program has the best record from 1988 to now and they are nearly always ranked in soccer. plus this year their womens and mens basketball teams are in the top 20. and the guys have already beaten the longhorns and sooners this year. and if u think u need cheerleaders to be good at sports than u r sofa king we tar did

He claimed t.u. students make use of their degrees, bla, bla, bla. I know for a fact that my friends at t.u. made AT LEAST 12k less than me out of school with the same degree in engineering. I'm not trashing their school by any means. t.u. has some great programs. Each school has it's strengths and weaknesses and I respect people that choose a school based on that. Here's all I've got to say about A&M. I attended the TTU/A&M game this year. During the 3rd Qtr. a coke cup was thrown into the air and landed in an Aggie's tuba. Howdy everybody! Living thousands of miles away, and at age of 56 i still consider myself an aggie young lad. I remember two years of my life spent at the University as MY LIFE. I love streets of Aggieland. I know that the southside apts where i used to live are no more there (demolished for construction of Bush Library, i suppose). I hope i'll walk round its streets one day again and touch its trees and smell the leaves and flowers. I cherish each and every moment that i spent there.

i have been to A&M classes with my mother a few times and was treated so well and kind it made me into an Aggie alreadya t the age of 8 now i am almost 15 and still and true to A&M and it's mighty-ness lol.
I do hope to attend this University in my future and hold an open space in my heart to be filled with memories to come there as my mother had.

Yes your chances may be higher. I know somebody that actually talked to someone who worked for admissions, and she said your essay is very very important. You want to try and make them cry. it also depends on what their mood was.

You have to have a minimum of 2.5 GPA to get into the University. Each college has its own minimum after that, and you have to meet that GPA to be considered competitive in the admissions process. For example i think the College of liberal arts you need a GPA of 3.0 to be competitive.

Just for the record... All sports combined A&M is 3rd in confrence championships in Big XII history behind Texas and Nebraska with 31total... In football A&M is tied with Colorado and KSU for Confrence championships and has more conf. champs than ISU, Mizzou, KU, texas tech, Baylor and OSU... and in SWC history A&M had the second most titles (17, 15 outright) while tech had 2 titles 0outright... That means that tech has never been the sole winner of a confrence title in football...

Lubbock is located in an ugly, yellow prairie, that gives way to many of the negative and false stereotypes about Texas as an "undesirable, ugly place." Thank you Lubbock, home of the class-less clowns. Every time I'm away from Texas, I always have to explain that there are actually beautiful parts of the state, that are green and filled with trees.

Its a City in Texas and it happens to be the greatest city in the south! I'm stuck here in dullsville (Albuquerque NM) !!! They have the coolest thing in the winter where there are these lights and you can go hayriding through them and stuff or go in your car and its so beutiful and its not cheap lights either there like ... amazing! And they have so much more~ My dogs name is ... Revielle, Bugler, and Aggie! (They are Shetland Sheepdogs otherwise known as Mini collies)

@007intense admittedly Austin has a better finance department, however if you are coming for the experience as well as an education then hands down you need to choose A&M. you will not find a friendlier campus here in the US, and as the video says the traditions here are something you really have to experience for yourself.

um you should probably check your facts many of their athletic programs have been big 12 champions many times... maybe they're football team isn't the best but its been improving and now with a new coaching staff they will likely only get much better...

texas atm won the big 12 championship in baseball last year. they went 27-7 last year in basketball and made it much farther in the postseason then the longhorns did. their football program has the best record from 1988 to now and they are nearly always ranked in soccer. plus this year their womens and mens basketball teams are in the top 20. and the guys have already beaten the longhorns and sooners this year. and if u think u need cheerleaders to be good at sports than u r sofa king we tar did

He claimed t.u. students make use of their degrees, bla, bla, bla. I know for a fact that my friends at t.u. made AT LEAST 12k less than me out of school with the same degree in engineering. I'm not trashing their school by any means. t.u. has some great programs. Each school has it's strengths and weaknesses and I respect people that choose a school based on that. If you goto a school for sports, drinking, or anything other than your primary reason to goto college you're a fuc*in idiot.

Much more, I find it nearly impossible to go anywhere in the state and be apart of a gathering of profesionals only to hear anyone from a school other than A&M get hissed at as soon as said fact is mentioned. Here's all I've got to say about A&M. I attended the TTU/A&M game this year. During the 3rd Qtr. a coke cup was thrown into the air and landed in an Aggie's tuba. He then began to cry...if this is the type of example that A&M wants to portray for its college, then you are all fucking pusses, and you need to worry about getting a football program instead of worrying about yall's gay traditions!

just because you call it a rivalry doesn't make it one, there is an official process to go through... hopefully one day there will be an official rivalry between our two schools (and i'm a junior, not a "teenager who just got out of high school") but in the meantime, there isn't a rivalry

i never claimed that tamu was in the ivy league, but it is ranked in the top 50 universities in the world... don't twist my words to mean something else... this has never been about only football, it was about a 'rivalry' which encompasses more than just one sport
o, and that wasn't a made up fact, the U.S. News and World Report declared tamu 23rd among all public universities... tech isn't ranked

rivalries require all sports and academics, not just football... sure tech has destroyed tamu in football lately, but tamu has completely dominated in all other sports and academics (that's why tamu is one of the best universities in the world and tech isn't even on the "best in the nation" list)
