You forgot about bringing a pocket wizard with you, so you can trigger the other photographers lighting. I mean they aren't going to use the lights all the time and what's the harm in borrowing their lights? None.
My favorite wedding reception photos are the ones on the dance floor where the bride and groom are in the middle of the shot, holding each other close, and everything around them is a giant blur. How do you get that? Is that something that can be achieved in Photoshop? Is it OK if the bride and groom are a bit blurry too?
Missy, I'm having my first Professional wedding event next saturday. Thanks for your tip. I am shaking but now feel confident. I have looked around for the wedding shoes, luckily it seems my mom has something similar like them. I just need a tip on how to walk with it. I'm 23 btw, a fully grown male.
I don't think i agree with standing next the assigned photographer for the wedding and then taking the photo that they composed then tagging the bride and groom on facebook - i think that is a little disrespectful to the wedding photographer.
You didn't mention "Auto-Everything" or the pop-up flash. Is it okay to use these for wedding photography like I do for everything else or do I have to do something different for weddings?
As a professional photographer myself, I have to admit that the best way to calm your nerves before shooting a wedding is to drink a couple of beers. Your hands are much steadier, and you keep smiling and laughing all the time, which inspires confidence in people. Just watch out and don't drink too much; eventually you will try to insert a card the wrong way and bend the pins (expensive repair!). If that does happen, at least try to have a mobile phone with a built-in flash. They're good enough.
@Mikaylin1 I shoot weddings all the time and she couldnt be more right about tip #1. It is just another session, hell if if helps imagine its 3 sessions for the day. PRe Ceremony - Ceremony - and Reception.
If this is Satire, I would like it. If not, what the hell is wrong with you.
