AT&T is lightyears ahead of any cable provider in that department. I have TW and channel surfing is like watching paint dry. AT&T channel changing and menu navigation is FAST.

Your comparisons are void.. One, You changed to a new channel on Comcast, Thats all you got was the news channel.. you went to a interactive channel on ATT.. Therefor ATT is better... You have two totally different tv's so picture quality is also void.. And in the beginning of the video ATT was FASTER than comcast.. Only to show that the second screen was rigged... This is not reflective of the Silicon Valley, California area. It actually works in most respects, much better than Comcast and ATT offers features with the U-Verse service that are light years ahead of them. It is also nice to have prices that remain fixed for as long as we have continuous service vs. increases every 4 mos. or so with Comcast. Channel changes are instantaneous whereas Comcast has that maddening 3/4 sec. freeze frame delay.

first off it depends if you have a box or not. no box are much faster than box, and internet has a wide choice, i dont have att but in michigan resource people are paying over $100 for digital cable.and ppl that have att are only paying $44. idk how much you pay but the box translation takes some times. it depends on what you perfer.
This is a very interesting video clearly showing the inferior quality AT&T offers on PEG channels compared with normal NTSC channel carriage of PEG channels.
As interesting is the demonstration of the picture latency introduced by AT&T caused by network transportation as it receives the video, processes it yet again, and then sends it to customers as a video stream.

U do know Att got the government to change the law for public access so its the same for all Communication co. that offer a Pay tv service, not just Att like U posted, As to dropping channels it is posted in the local office under FCC documentation they had to move certain channels due the the new contracts with some networks raising the price per month on some stations, causing Cable to put them on a digi package so only the people who want it are paying for it.
I had Comcast cable service and on july-23-08 we had att install u-verse. The install took 2 days and at least 5 hours a day for them to do 3 tv's and their socalled high speed internet. I am seeing the exact same thing with the channel changing on my u-verse boxes my Comcast digital service changed channels much faster and the most frustrating thing is that I can only watch HD on one tv at a time I had 3 HD boxes with comcast and one of them was the dvr and I could get hd on all of them WTFisup
