Can I say what happen to backworth station which was not in video from west Monkseaton to benton the station was still open to public untill 1977 -78 when it was closed to make way for tyneside metro just up from the old station is new station called northumbland park station aport from that it was a good video
btw, there is at least one image of the 3rd rail electric trains on Wikipedia which you could use, and my film of Tynemouth station will include a photo from the 3rd rail days. The film will be named "Tyne & Wear Transport Miscellany 2" parts 1, 3-6 are online already. btw, all footage dates from the early 1990's.
@innovatek121 cool. Do not film until I give you the all clear as it is against metro rules to film without permission. I am in a meeting with DB This week so I will put in a word for you. I will give you the all clear or the no go. Sorry it has to be like this but this is doing it by the book :/
yep, Just shows how much something over time doesnt change :) .. The main reason they havnt rebuilt most of the stations are because there is nothing wrong with them in the first place.

You know what, that is really interesting-I will send this to my Grandpa as heuilt the tunnels between Jesmond and the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge...I am makig a video on building the metro-I just need the names of the 3 people who died building it and I am done-I will send it to you!
