  • That was beautifully done and how I feel about my fellow Toastmasters too. So many Mr. and Mrs. G.'s.

  • wow...

  • I liked it but I didnt really get it. Whats the difference between Gamache and say a standup comedian? Shouldnt his speech be about a lame topic like a companies history or something like that? Then he could really use his skills to try to make an interesting presentation out of a lame topic.

  • tomorrow is my public speaking debut in class and this was a perfect teaching tool for me. he's exceptionally talented...

  • Good Luck!

  • This is a great speech! The only thing that bothers me a bit is this: He does everything according to the rules of public speaking. It's almost as if he follows the rules too perfectly. Watching this I get the feeling there is not enough of himself in his 'performance'. His personality gets lost in the perfection of following the rules on how to be a good public speaker.

  • It seems to lack a natural air because of that.

  • @sllimfej It is a speech competition so the speech will be judged according to the rules of public speaking like structure, focus, value etc...

  • he's got an ability to enrapture the audience completely!

  • very good. Great content, engaging and much better than the so so many 'speaking champions'. It was a little wooden though in the delivery which jarred a bit on the ears. More like an act than a conversation with the audience. Still extremely good material.

  • i appreciate his guts to stay barefooted

  • BRILLIANT

  • J.A., you do Canada proud! As a speaker myself, I really appreciate your skill. You are a wonderful and inspiring storyteller. Great speech.

  • LUAR BIASA!!! (indonesian: AMAZING !!!)

It is so natural. I hope i can join your session. eko andi

  • It is a great speech, the message was excellent.

I've several of the championship speeches and there is one thing I dont like. It sounds to rehearsed, that they are saying a memorized verse, the way they act are synthetic and nowhere like real actors.

I've heard other speeches apart from the toastmasters and I feel that a really great speech is where the speaker feels like he is communicating to you on a personal level. As if you are having a conversation and that the dialogue is not robotic.

  • That was awesome. I loved your speech. Love to hear more of yours JA Gamche.

  • I would have loved to hear this with clear audio. Please plug into the camera directly when recording. Carl in District 53.

  • I've met JA. He's a sweetheart and an awesome speaker.

  • He is a good speaker; however, the above link opens to a page with a video which is only a promotion for Mark Garrett's books. You have to go to Mark's Web site before seeing a video of Mark. Basically, it seemed to me that the link above goes into a sales pitch which, IMHO, discredits your intention.

  • this guy has class. i think this is superb. the best speach ive seen
