Yeah seriously. If I could spend a few hours a day a few days a week commenting e-sports and getting paid big money for it, I would. Husky has to thank HD a lot for his visibility on YouTube, and HD was extremely, extremely lucky. Meanwhile, there's people like Day9 and Crota who have to work for a living besides the StarCraft stuff they do :p. I'm sure once finishing grad school, Day9 will have a real job.

Uh not what I said. Way to fail at comprehending. Back then, it wasn't so much that people wanted to watch Husky as it was they wanted to watch pro Korean games that weren't commentated in Korean... and Husky was among several who did that sort of thing. People would watch, despite the fact he was rather annoying at times.

Now, with his big fan(boy)base many people watch his vids not just for the purpose of watching SC2, but to an equal or greater degree because they are fanboys

Also, tell me. Is the fact that a terrible, terrible game like MW2 has a huge fanboy base mean that it's a good game? Not necessarily, and as it is known for that game, not at all. However, as we know, the fanboys declare MW2 to be the greatest game ever made. I watch Husky because I've known him for quite a while, he (used to) puts out a lot of games, and I like watching SC2. But mostly lame humor, stating the obvious, and Bronze-level tips are not the best casting style imo.
