  • Ótima Versão. A sonoridade até lembra os Beatles!

  • e tambem a rita lee que canta esta versao

  • As far as I know, the arrangement was made by Rogerio Duprat.

  • @ladyyyxD yea, why do brazilians sing in portuguese?? I never knew! In the old, good portuguese: vá catar coquinhos. Os Mutantes & Caetano were just awesome and were much better than some bands that are considered good just because they sing in english. Their music meant something.

  • @analaurateixeira HAUhAUha muito bom!!!..rs

  • The 60's was much more than beatles and rolling stones, that were good, too.

  • that's one of the biggest problems with brazilian authors, musicians and bands, they sing in portuguese. If the did all of that in english, Machado de Assis would me recognized as one of the gratest writers and Mutantes one of the big rock bands. Still, I'm glad this english version can touch people all arround the world =)

  • @LadyyyxD Regardless of how Big "OS Mutantes" turned out to be they were of a bigger influence in the rock scene then most other BIGGER Music groups to be considered more sucsesful internationally.

  • @LadyyyxD @LadyyyxD You know, I was thinking about this. My hard conclusion was: Brazilians usually sing in portuguese because they speak portuguese! Sorry but I have to be honest: your question was so stupid. It's like: "Why The Beatles didn't sing in portuguese?" If we brazilian can appreciate british or american music, they can do the same. And our musicians can eventually record something in english, spanish, etc. We have our own identity! We CAN speak English but we DO speak PORTUGUESE!

  • @nelsonpsjr well, I see my irony was completely misted! I was beinf ironic with 'their problem is that they speak english', it was a critic toward the pressure among musicians for them to sing in english, it was ironic, because english is a very known language... I love the ones that can stick to our identity..specially because I am a musician and I know how hard it is to be recognized...so I'm sorry if my irony wasn't clear!

  • @LadyyyxD If you were ironic I didn't realize, so I apologize for my rude words. Anyway, maybe in the future someone will suggest Brazilian musicians to sing in chinese in order to be recognized around the world. No irony.

  • Comme je disais, cela ressemble aux Mamas & Papas!

    J'adore cette chanson!

  • Hi thanks a lot for commenting. Are you Anne Marie? same channel name ..:))

  • Marie-A yes indeed, from the same second channel. Greetings to you Ed.

As cores tão vibrantes e vivas!

    Abraços and keep going!

  • Foda!!!!

  • a lot better than Beatles

  • @jpporto1994 Truly a remarkable song, but the Beatles were breaking new ground while Os Mutantes were adding their Brazilian influences to Beatlesque psychedelia to bring us something really refreshing. I still think "Strawberry Fields" and "Lucy in the Sky" are the bellweather psychedelic tracks but this is truly remarkable, more so in the original Brazilian mix.

  • @jpporto1994

The outro of this song is a direct quote from Baby You're a Rich Man by the Beatles and I think it's an improvement. But Os Mutantes didn't write this song themselves, like many of their hits. So to suggest they were better than the Beatles is a bit over the top. Sergio Dias wouldn't go for that. He's a huge George Harrison fan. But yes they were cool . And they still are. Check Mutantes concerts if you can. I saw them in Amsterdam. It was brilliant.

  • @xavierbaudet Os Mutantes didn't write "Panis Et Circenses", but they (especially Arnaldo Baptista) created the amazing arrangements this song became famous for. And they have PLENTY good own songs. Howhever, they're not even close to better The Beatles. I'm Brazilian, but I recognize The Beatles are the greatest music act of the XXth century.

  • @Zitarrosa1984

I agree totally. I was lucky enough to meet Sergio Dias and talk with him. And guess what, we talked about the Beatles!

  • @Zitarrosa1984 I thought Caetano wrote the arrangements too, although it doesn't really matter, you're still right
