The one thing I hate about facebook is that the majority of the people HATE change. Sometimes change is good. Sometimes it's for the better. I chose to refrain from timeline because commonsense told me to wait it out. Timeline is a CHOICE. I actually think timeline has a much better interface and transforms facebook into something about YOU. But apparently judgmental people on facebook have kept me from switching...wish I could be brave enough to switch though. It looks cool.

All your information is now more accessible for the other people, especially your enemy. . It's a proven way to succeed without having to re-invent the wheel. Mark has never been a 'fashion" guy like Steve Jobs, so since he can't re-invent himself he can at least copy the other guy.

I think he is wise to use what works, I was shocked how he used almost every aspect of Jobs presentations - from the casual dress to the phrasing and pace of his speaking to the spare visuals - a single white word in tall white letters. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "fashion" guy - jeans and black turtle neck are his standard and he shuns the public light...

You can change your clothes, the way you speak and what you say, but a brand and all of its emotional connections take a very long time to build up. Jobs has been building the Apple brand from day 1 in his Palo Alto garage in the 70s. It is amazing to witness a cult product - as Apple computers have been for years - develop into a world-leader and hugely profitable. Love it.
