The reality is McCain got a double digit bump....nearly twice what a republican usually gets from his convention. Meanwhile, Obama actually lost ground from where he was a couple weeks before his convention. These days, the state polls predict anywhere from a 50 to over 100 electoral votes advantage for McCain.

All politicians have paid speech writers who use the candidate's personal history and work experience to create a draft of the speech. Then the candidate makes notes to personalize it and make it their own. They wouldn't have time to campaign if they had to write every speech.

It's best to listen to the speech and critique it for integrity and truth, which we don't get from the democrats.
