the guys feet are too widely spaced out, its a lot easier to do these with wide feet position because you dont rise your hips as high if they are close together- thats actually how they are done in india- i do 140 in one go at the moment
The work the delts harder that regular pushups. Good for fighters and the like. In the documentary short Judoka the guy talks about doing 600 on normal days and 1000 for burnouts. Kimura was insane.
I counted a hundred. Impressive. I really admire the will-power and dedication needed to do that. I do them in sets of 25 myself and can do up to 250 plus in a day. The great Indian wrestlers do a thousand or so a day.
tricountybaldy - your technique of doing 5 sets of 12 is counter productive. You should be going for 100 in one go. It can be done just increase by 5 or 10 as you work out 4 times per week. It takes a few months to get up from 12 to a 100.

then your doing them wrong, that's all there is to it.
I can do a huge amount of hindu squats (for example) if I only go down part way. You need correct form and correct breathing.
