Gosh, when this song first came out in '83 I remember thinking the lyric about "he won't be back again til 2010" seemed so incredibly far off in the future. Now its already come and gone. Great song. Always reminded me a bit of Billy Thorp's "Children of the Sun"....the space theme I guess.

2010 passed. It took a while to realize the some of the guidance systems were programed to SAE standards. Ground control is Metric.

Calculations are still being ran to see how the space commander passed.

Is the capsule still hurtling through space with no oxygen or did it pass in a blaze of glory on another planet or into the sun.

We will probably never know
