  • Critics have hailed her The Legendary Fantine. Not a surprise! :-)

  • zombie scream alert @ 4:09! lmao! good job lea!

  • AMAZING! Superior vocals and heartfelt expression - and to think this isn't even in full character on stage yet! Makes Ruthie Henshall and all other actors playing Fantine look amateurs...

  • Lea is incredible, but shes an Eponine. Ruthie will forever and always be the best Fantine

  • i still love lea as eponine and ruthie as fantine..i don't know, ruthie was just best at it in my opinion.

  • she put the soul in the song....I always love you Lea.

  • She's great that's why Cameron M. choose her to play Fantine in the 25th Anniversary of Les Mis...

    See yah all there.

  • Every filipno celebrity you see in international arena Lea salonga, Manny pacquiao, Charice, Anna Maria de tagle, Arnel Pineda, Apl de ap of black eyed peas are the most humble and down to earth Hollywood Celebrities you will ever see in your lifetime cause they put thier representation of the Philippines to every people who watch them perform. Back in the Philippines they meld in without thier international status with other local celebrities.

  • she's so simple but you'll definitely be allured with her powerful and emotional voice ! AMAZING !

  • WOW. I thought Henshall was the best Fantine, but Lea is awesome and heart-wrenching as Eponine. As far as I am concerned, LEA is best at whatever she does. She is my heroine. :) I wish her the best and hope for her to continue with her musical career. She is Awesome.

  • she played the voice of mulan and jasmine and now im also reading that she was the singing voice of belle from beauty and the beast as well. her repertoire surely represents the most eclectic and versatile resume...

  • she wasnt the voice of belle

i think the person who was speaking belle was the singer cause on the credits there wasnt the the credt of the singer of belle

  • paige o'hara was the voice of belle... but she does sound like a younger lea!

  • she is really AMAZING!!! I love her.. =)

  • her On My Own as eponine was AMAZING!

  • I sayShe is golden, inside and out. She worked very hard to be where she is now at. She is by far the most humble, loving, exceptionally talented Filipino celebrity to date. She lives a clean and very private life, those who know her personally are breathless with how ordinary Lea is in real-life. Not a cloud of 'status' in her. Go Lea, you are a diamond that will forever shine, and us Filipinos are so proud of you.

  • i didnt know she played Fantine . this vid is great! wow!

  • God, I wish I was there!!

  • Physically beautiful and vocally beautiful I hope I hope I hope this woman's personality is as lovely as her voice.

  • she's not just pure talent but she's very smart & elegant woman & her fellow countryman is very proud of her.

  • yes.. she is.. she's so nice and humble..

  • she's amazing!

  • She's so beautiful in every way.

  • of all the versions of I Dreamed A Dream posted in youtube, Ms. Henshall's delivery of the line, "so different from this hell i'm living" is the best. no contest to that.

i believe Ms. Salonga's delivery of the whole song is at par with Ms. Henshall. They both deliver the emotion of song so effortlessly. Check out the rendition of Ms. Salonga of the song where she sang it at Bryant Park. First time i heard it, i cried. :-)

  • Lea played Eponine in the 90s, but in the past year she played Fantine :)

  • i saw lea salonga in oct. 2007 for les mis on broadway. thank you for bringing back that amazing memory.

  • Beautiful
