  • Good band. He's a good lyricist, that Mark Morris.

  • yea they are so get on it,they are my stepbrothers my moms been with their dad for 19 years i have met them a few times infact mark has been to my house lol had a drink with them backstage too which was amazing

  • Oh yes!

  • Oh yes!

  • wish they would come to orkney, one of the very few bands that i hold in high regard but feel never got the appreciation they deserved.

  • the song I most wanted to hear at Oran Mor (Glasgow) tonight, and I got it. A real treat. Their new songs are great too.. still a great band.

  • saw these guys last night in liverpool starting their new tour!!

A-MAZING! They rocked this one :)

  • Reminds me of a better time for British music... I hope they come down here sometime soon.

  • @theymademedoit2003 better hurry up and see them pal, their splitting up after the next tour.

  • This song is so cool !!!!!!!!!

  • saw them in Aberdeen last night. Good, but no autophilia and no sleazy bed track... :(

  • seeing them on the 12th in dundee woooh!!

  • @HOBNOBBS

10th in Edinburgh :D sooooooo excited!

  • Sorry, everyones entitled to their opinion but I've seen the Bluetones many times as they are regular visitors to the Highlands of Scotland and any new band could learn a thing or two from these guys about melody, great lyrics and the importance of top notch live performance. The Bluetones deserve any plaudits they get and are as good now as they were 15 years ago! Just my opinion, of course!!

  • @AIFL Of course, everybody thinks that what they like is truly "the best" and if they don't like it then it's not good.

  • @AIFL You are right you know! :)

  • Used to like them and saw them a few times but have to say they haven't aged well - sorry.

  • they happen to be my stepbrothers u fuck n who gives a shit wat u think n e way

  • Awesome? They're not awesome at all...

They're WAY better than that! Must admit that I haven't kept up to date with them lately, have they released an album after Luxemburg?

  • yeah its called the bluetones

there are also a selection of best ofs and b-sides and rareities aswell as mark morriss' debut solo album...

all are ace and well worth a perchase

    brilliant band

  • I seen these guys live

    They are awesome live

  • the full title of this song is "autophilia or how i learned to stop worrying and love my car"

  • LOVE this song. Lead singer reminds me vaguely of David Tennant.

  • mark morris reminds me of jeremy edwards

  • O yeh i remember this song!! I remember the double yellow line bit

  • Weak; they censored bits of the song... ah, well, suppose it was all for the best.

Quite possibly THE cheesiest video I've ever seen. Gotta love it though...

  • Not cheesier than Dodgy's Staying Out For the Summer. But I love both bands.

  • Great band.

  • love it!

  • I was lucky enough to meet Mark when I DJ supported him at a local solo gig. A geniune, modest and sweet man. Great gig too. He mixed Bluetones stuff with some nice covers including Gouge Away by the pixies and Alcaholiday by the Fanclub.

  • It's funny cos the lead singer can't drive. yesterday he said 'my driving test's in about 10 days. up til now I've always had a chauffer.... yeah, right.'

  • It's true.. Mark only passed his theory a couple of months ago... I asked him what took him so long to start driving, and he said he didn't know... But I guess because he's doing his solo stuff now, driving beats getting the train everywhere - well, that is if he doesn't miss it!! A group of us met up in Manchetser on Saturday and we all signed a card for him, which he was rather chuffed with... We all know he'll pass it...

  • well im 28 and im in the same situation,we nondrivers are a rare bunch,im not proud of not making the effort to learn, but it keeps me fit.

  • Gotta love that chorus. So catchy.

  • thanks for posting this! reminds me of my days at secondary.

  • I have never noticed before but when they are in the car when it starts flying, just how much Scott (the guy in the back behind the passenger, for those that don't know...) looks like Chris Clein (of Amaerican Pie / Just Friends...)

  • He does, you're right, but I think you will find that it's Eds....

  • You know, I'm on a double-yellow line....

  • danielamarrilla your awsome to

  • The NME called this song "sexist". They were always fucking thats that wrote there.

  • blah blah blah

  • This song is the bollocks! Brings back so many memories of getting pissed.

  • loved them at the wizard festivl, took me back

  • Proof that there were some truly great songwriters in the mid/late 90s Britpop era. Certainly miles ahead of a lot of the crap that passes as guitar pop in Britain circa 2007!

Writing a song about being in love with a car is great. See "I'm In Love With My Car" by Queen too.

  • you are so right mate. I could write down 6 lines of rocking bands that beats 100 times the new ones in songwriting, melody, and appeal

  • I can't believe you said "circa"... anyway, crap song.

  • i love this song. and the video too.

  • Great song, not sure about the video!

  • both song and video are great

  • is this song about infidelity? i always assumed so

    excellent song

  • i hp

  • Yeah I aways thought that aswell. But now that I listening to it, I think he's just on about his car. Ya know boys and there toys!!

  • This video is kind of cheezy, but I love this freaking song.

  • it's supposed to be,im guessing you're american?
