I'm a Jazz & Rock-n-Roll drummer. I put on my headphones and played the drums to this song and grooved in the coolest way! Very different, very moving!
I don't know specifically what she's singing, but I do know the woman singing in french is Donna Lewis (I love you, always forever). I love this album...and because of it, I now love Debussy.
@peterwwolf Trevor Horn (somehow) has been able to retain a lot of the depth and texture with his digital recordings that were lost when we left analogue recording behind. This album is a good example.
@stewiexdarkness" This Type of Music"...Starting with switched on Bach ,Edger Frose, Brian Eno Frip...Electronicia...KPFA Thursday(Fri Morn) 3:00-6:00 AM John Thrasher Show...Then Later Jose Castro's Show FRi-Sat Morning 3-8 KUSF..PRE Internet Day's. I have quit jobs that interfeared with music time...I also still have several hundred tapes of the Jose C Show.....
NO offense, but I'm a bit confused. How could you have been listening to the AON since you were 12, and yet be 53 now? (the formed in 1983). 12+27 (27 years since formation) = 39.

it took me a while to realise that this whole album is structured musically around the work of debussey, and not just the story of his life...this is an amazing album.
I sent one of my friends (who had no previous knowledge of the AON) one of their more up-tempo, booming tracks via YouTube last night, and he was understandably (for him) turned off by it: remember....when introducing people new to the group an AON tune, keep it sweet. Once they get turned on to it, send 'em Beat Box, and see how they react to that...
lol at converting people to new types of music. Just let people listen to what they want to listen to. But still i get your point. I love their music, quite souulful
Found this song via a friend, and I have to say it's not something I'd normally listen to, but it's one of the best songs I have on my iTunes right now.
Ive listend to a few art of noise songs on here, and ive gotta say, they don't seem all that popular. It is rare to find a negative comment however :D! I love this song, fits so well with puzzle games.
I'm a Big Fan & I have 2 say despite any age , who ever listen to AoN will put its imprint no matter who & what ever kind of music he/she listens to ! Agree ?
I used to listen to AoN religiously when I was 14... I'm 17 now, and have moved on to other subgenres of electronica, but they still have a deep emotional imprint set in my heart that will never fade as long as I live. :D
Got to be my favourite song by far. I'm 17 and I don't listen to "Fall out boy" or "My chemical romanec". Firmly Art of Noise and Kraftwerk, spk, severed heads, John Foxx. I love this stuff.
@harrydamm Yes I have to agree best album ever made. I used to play this album right though every day I each time I would hear something new in the mix.
Some try -no sense- compare or define art.
Art is singular for be coletive.
Art of noise is amazing.
Fuck group!
Thanks sonemem
