On my way to philly there was this random merging area with no warning (road work is a bitch) so it gets to a one lane road and me and the other guy are neck and neck, the other guy behind doesnt leave any space behind so I can get in so Im like "Fuck it" and speed past 10 cars on a one lane road until one of them finally lets me in. Well ain't this the truth. If there's heavy traffic, I always try to let 1 or 2 people merge in, since that's what I'd want if I were ever in their position. However, if some douche decides to cheat and get ahead, I take it as a personal goal, to make it impossible for him to get in.

@GallopingPints So true. I must admit I do this too, but if the guys persistant enough to keep trying specifically for the space in front of my car, I'll usually give him the benefit of the doubt that he might geniunely have to get somewhere in a hurry and let him in eventually.

But if I don't get a courtesy wave or a one-hazard salute, I get pretty peeved. I'm the sort of guy that rolls down the window in the rain just to give the wave. I expect the same from others. xD
