I think one of the biggest misconceptions about the Israeli-Hamas conflict is that it's based on territory. Hamas doesn't have territorial demands from Israel more than Al Qaeda has territorial demands from the US. They both are fundamental Islamic groups, seeking to destroy everyone who isn't a Muslim. For example, Hamas knows it can have the Israeli-Egyptian Embargo canceled if it will give back Gilad Shalit and stop shelling Israel, but still prefers holding him and shelling.

In case people don't know, a massive protest is now in motion in Israel, hundreds of thousands hit the streets for about a week and half now, living in tents as a protests against the government, be it the insanely high rents, food prices, gas prices, the lacking healthcare system, the discrimination against the hard working middle class, who is basically paying for the west bank settlements. I think one of the biggest misconceptions about the Israeli-Hamas conflict is that it's based on territory. Hamas doesn't have territorial demands from Israel more than Al Qaeda has territorial demands from the US. They both are fundamental Islamic groups, seeking to destroy everyone who isn't a Muslim. For example, Hamas knows it can have the Israeli-Egyptian Embargo canceled if it will give back Gilad Shalit and stop shelling Israel, but still prefers holding him and shelling.

They are resistance groups of anything which is not Muslim.
