I was here, on this video, twice on my journey to make a working wav for my asus laptop. finally i found a way to convert a wav to a compatible format using ffmpeg with this commandline:

ffmpeg.exe -i input.wav -vn -f wav -acodec pcm_s16le -ar 48000 -ac 2 -y output.wav

@CAJS117 Make the image the size of your resolution. then shrink the canvas to a 4:3 ratio. eg My original image is 1366,768 then I change it and save it as a 1024,768 - the photo initially looks stretched but it un-stretches when it's applied... It does how ever lose quality... The reason it can only take 4:3 images is that the GPU isn't setup with VBE Bios extensions and thus is stuck to old world resolutions...

how did you change the sound? i tried and it keeps saying that its not a valid wav file

@sweetcriminal2670 Hi Thanks for asking.. That's part of the reason I put the video up, because I had problems figuring everything as well..

I used an audio converter (AVS Audio Converter) and saved my wav's as

PCM

Mono

Bitrate 512 kbps

Sample Rate 32000 Hz

Sample Rate 16 bit

@xbones0013 I'd like to make a boot screen with quake logo and quake 2 sounds... is it doable? I already have a video screensaver of me playing Quake or Crysis which is really cool.

@sweetcriminal2670 for FancyStart you have to use a .wav file. the file has to be smallish because if you try and use a song as a wav file that is really long it won't work. if you try it, go into audacity or something and make sure the audio you are using is exported as a .wav format and is like, less than 20seconds long
