  • The will of the people is such a hocus argument. Because the "will of the people" was not upheld in the late 1960s when interracial marriage was passed, in 1965 75% of Americans were against interracial marriage. They were against integration but we did not put those civil rights up to a popular vote. Because in this country we do not put civil rights to the whims of a majority, that is why we have a Constitution, to protect the minority from "the will of the people."

  • lol at the opposition ppl so predictable just look at them

  • I must ask, why do gay people like to 'sound gay'? (and I support gay marriage, I just dont understand why they like to sound that way :D)

  • exactly what rights are being taken away from the majority? the right to discriminate?? anyway... prop 8 OVERTURNED! Next up the Supreme Court!

  • I love the fact that my favorite song is played in this video: Endlessly by Muse!

  • I dont understand how they could of still upheld prop 8 after hearing those speachs. This is what religion does, it sperates and destroys everyone. relgion is fucking bullshit. equality is coming, people will look back at this event and be disgusted at how stupid some poeple can be. The younger denerations are very accepting of change and they want a world filled with love not hate. the ones that hate gays/gay marriage are slowly dyeing out. Love always wins, and it will win in this fight.

  • What is this all about? It seems like until the PEOPLE all come together , get it together and take it some where other than their own backyards I do not know if we really stand a chance. We all have to come together, WE ARE THE PEOPLE. We once knew what that really meant & used body action with others to pull off many great things in this country. That was the principle of Dr. Martin L. King & of his friend Bayard Rustin, Asa P. Randolph and many others Abraham Lincoln & Frederick Douglas.

  • Prop 8 stands. Thank God.

  • There is no God, but there will be justice for what you people have done.

  • EltheQueer, Yes On Prop 8.

  • Obviously! LOLOL. Wow, you people REALLY are DENSE.

  • GOOD ONE!

What hilariously obvious comment will you come up with next!?

  • Feel free to practice bias and bigotry wherever you find an outlet for your hate. As far as the laws of the land go, such unfairness can not and will not be accepted.

No more restricted public places, no more seperation according to "class", no more double standards favoring one and discriminating against another.

Those days are in the past. If you like to live in an unfair society, you'll need a time travel ticket to the past. The future is for those who can get along with everyone.

  • Awesome video. I hope many more can see this.

My favorite part was the uneducated bigots all in a row, confused about what democracy even means, stupidly and angrily pleading to have their opinions continue to hinder the lives of thousands of citizens -- their neighbors and brothers no less.

  • What the hell is this "Traditional marriage" bullshit? Plural marriage was around WAAAAAY before monogamous marriage, and it is still more popular around the world.

  • Even if the state would pass that law(Thank god it didnt!)No church is gonna marry them

  • Thank god we don't want to be married in a church, honey.

  • Well then what get married by "The law" which also hates you.wow, talk about happiness.

  • The law doesn't hate me, just the bigot religious right who funded this mess in the first place. Looks like I have to wait another year, sigh.

  • But why do you want to get Married? It just makes no sense, even my teacher(Who has nothing against gays)Believe thats marrige is for One man and One woman,if gays want to get married they should call it something else!

  • I want to get married for the same reason you want to get married. :)

  • To be loyal to the one you love :) Shit!m confused

  • @mnm20098 why call it something else? how's that fair at all? That my friend is treating gays differently... They're are people with feelings too, why crush it? Have a heart. People are calling you selfish because of things you says. "they can get married, but they should call it something else?" That's really kind for you to say for a non selfish person...LOL...

  • @azodinblitz Do you just randomly look for year old comments to argue with?Is it your hobby?11 months have passed and opinions can change you know.

  • When gay marriage does become legal (and it will, because it's called -discrimination- ... look it up in a dictionary), I will not be getting married in a church. I'll be getting married to my gay partner very very very far away from a church.

  • Please don't see me as a bad person because I dont wish to insult you,but honestly the idea of a man and a man doesnt ring a bell in your head(Before you even get to think about it!) that says its not ment to be??

  • No. It doesnt "ring a bell in my head that its not meant to be".

You realize that a gay person is still a person, right?

The only difference between you and gay person is apparently, you're an ignorant, selfish, bigoted asshole.

  • How can you call me selfish when you don't know me?How can you say I'm ignorant when I listen to what others have to say?How do you have the nerve to call ME a bigot when YOU are the one getting offended by my opinions? And an asshole?seriously grow up.

  • Well, since I'm a gay male who would LOVE the opportunity to marry the man that Ive been with and love more than anything in the whole world for half of my life, your comment offended the SHIT out of me.

  • Well use words that make sense you fool!

  • Cool video.

  • awesome video. quite moving at some parts.

  • wow, its amazing!

  • "Marriage can only be between a man and a woman.", but why? That is not an argument in my oppinion.

The parallels in history are so obvious.

Why don't people just stop to do the same hurtful mistakes over and over again?

All history books show, that this is not the way to got. It's time to wake up and to "love thy neighbour". I don't understand the US citizens. They took the first step. What is the difficulty now? Canada did not take any harm because of giving rights to people. However.

  • Notice the people supporting Prop H8 have no argument. All they have is scriptures and irrelevant beliefs.

  • Great Video

  • I really wish more people had the capability to put this in such a perspective.Thank you very much for posting this. This was very well put together, and I appreciate the time you put into this.

  • very moving, Gardner. no progress without struggle.

  • This is essential viewing. A wonderful job of explaining why overturning prop 8 is important for the protection of every single person in this joint, even the people who voted it in. (God save 'em.)

  • Two thumbs and two big toes up!

  • well done, good sir.
