@kcporter1996 Because the recording industry doesn't push anything, if they can't sell it togheter with a disney t-shirt and a can of coke!! They put all their money into a few artists, and spend huge amounts marketing those few. I wouldn't shed a tear it the majors went broke. It's the smaller ones, like Daptone, that delivers the good shit, because they are into making music, not money.

I'm not sure... but they play it at almost every show i've seen. it's kind of a vehicle for Sharon to display her awesome dance skills. i also hope they record it eventually!

It's a Lyn Collins tune called "Things Got To Get Better". The original version is by James Brown and the J.B.s, Lyn was in James' Soul Revue back in the late 60's and from what I've heard and seen from this band, appears to be big influence. You can check it out on the newer Lyn Collins compilation called "Mama Feel Good" Hope it helps. Free the funk within.
