I agree with most of the information given by Dr. Stephen Bezuchka. Most American's including me, take drugs for every illness even when we don't have any.
people take these drugs me my self because we see though the bullshit and see how sick sosiety is and how the controlling govenments lie and murder so we take the drugs to stop us thinking about it
My country has is doomed. The debt will destroy us, and our problems will probably spread everywhere else. I can understand if you hate us for this. I don't blame you.
@EskolainenKarma stop lapping it up. Europe and the rest of the world can say no. Take some responsibility. I live in the US, and am able to not partake in this.
Two types of people in the world. The cunning and the innocent. If your good and innocent, your considered stupid. If your the cunning over ambitious, greedy, every man for him self type ( but let's take from the poor to give to the rich ) then your respected. People roll out the red carpet for you. The cunning rule the world. Theres no hope folks. The human being is a monstrous beast. All our leaders and people who make up the rules are the cunning ones who are going to destroy this planet. Sad
It's refreshing to find a doctor who has an interest in health but the whole notion of "mental illness" is a social construct. He even provides evidence for this. The bottom line, however, is that much of the so-called "mental illness" in America stems from the fact that there are so damn many psychiatrists in America, though I am in complete agreement re: the importance of social connection for wellbeing. Most so-called mentally ill feel like no one gives a shit about them, hence the problem.
I want to buy this guy dinner ! He belongs on Doctors Mt Rushmore alongside Dr Jonathan Miller and Oliver Sacks imho. Thank you so much to KPFA for introducing us in a recent pledge drive; now where IS my checkbook...
Yes, I do not trust the medications for depression. We are told that countless studies and documentations prove that the medications help. Blah, blah, blah. Happiness is NOT found in seritonin or lack of it. Frankly, anyone taking these medications is a little itty bitty guiney pig. Come on people. We are smarter than this.

Now that was one first class lecture.
While most people are focusing on attempting to prune the branches and suckers ~ this man is looking at the roots of the problem.
Well worth the listen

It's not debt that is the problem. It's that a tiny group of people have bought the government and are looting the country.
