Hey Paul. My wife, I, and my kid were profoundly awestruck by your stuff. You add such depth with just a keyboard to anything you play. I teach my daughter piano, but otherwise I haven't been at it for ten years. I went to law school, etc., and I've left things behind, including the composing I had begun doing. @pheolixnynes I did have another offer to do this - I overlaid some ideas on the beat track for him but didn't hear any more of it. It is really hard to be open minded - there are a lot of people who cannot play keyboards to any extent but collect sounds and spend hours developing ideas. My ideas wouldn't be significantly better.

@paulwwells well like....i know a couple things about playing the keyboard but not all the scales n shit. all i can do is make a tune and stuff....i guess what i can do is maybe give you a sample of me pressing a couple keys and you take it and stride. i'm very serious about making this album. just at least one try. i have all this mastering software and programs to make this sound professional. just got it all like 3 months ago but i guess all i can ask is for one shot.

@pheolixnynes I'll certainly give it a go. It will work best if you send me a long (say 6 minutes) rhythm track and I'll try out ideas on it and send it back. If any section grabs your attention then you can use it as a theme. I warn you though I don't know what I'm doing, so if anything good comes out of it it will be an accident.

Again, the bass line is WICKED!!! My fantasy is just to hear you play with the accent on the bass over the melody. (i.e a few dB higher than the melody- I know-Its just my fantasy.) Thanks elgranarroyos. I normally mix as much bass as possible before it starts obscuring everything else. Acoustic pianos give out hardly any bass so there's no incentive to develop the bass line.

Thanks Lymingeman. This is a setup which I've settled on because it sounds good on YouTube. Piano with Celesta above the split, and fretless bass and piano below the split.
