  • How the hell can they not start cracking up at each other

  • @rwfan23

In acting, it takes a lot of training to do this. You train to ignore the comedy and to keep going on. If it was improv (make it up as you go) It is hard, but it makes a skit better. I doubt this is improv, and it was probably rehearsed, so they have heard the jokes already. How much do you wanna bet they started laughing when they read this script for the first time.

If you wanted something funny, then "I know, right?"

  • @bluffgrad07

at first when I read your comment about the gay community I wanted to kick your ass, but then I realized..hey, I'm a mature LESBIAN woman, I don't need to stoop to this little boy's level. It's people like you that completely ruin society, not the gays.

  • ROFL! MAn! I love caro bernett!

  • @monoceros4 Dont immature. You don't even know me. I'm straight and like women. Fuck off and grow up!! Let's be mature adults and move on here? I think so. This is ridiculous.

  • snow white has nice droopy boobs

  • @longfootbuddy That's what happens to perky...Now isn't he one of the Dwarfs

  • Hahahaha I always thought the prince was a wimp.

  • @bluffgrad07 i'm not here to battle but you don't need to be hateful. it's never necessary. i apologize if my reply seemed a bit standoffish. that wasn't right. but that is no reason to spew such bile. and it doesn't make you look any better to preach hatred to a group of people. i am bisexual and have nothing to apologize for. i live my life with love and it pains me to encounter someone who cannot accept people who love as they do.

  • @bluffgrad07

being gay isn't a lifestyle, because they don't choose to have same-sex feelings.

they're just that way. better would be to just learn some tolerance for people who are different from you :)

  • BAH! I loved this skit!

  • @bluffgrad07 are you kidding? it's just a fun comedy sketch. learn to laugh a bit.

  • how long ago was this

  • Carol is absolutely hilarious! I love this good old comedy! XD

  • @Jewelrylover111 I am with YOU all the way. She is one of a kind. LOL

  • what gay little fractured fairytale!!!

  • wow! wasn't she only 16 in the movie? sooo snow white let her self go at only 31????

  • Oh how I miss these days.....

  • prince started laughing

  • hhhhh,.lool,.crazy one...dahhhh,..

  • "she's nine hundred and six! and that's only because the three little pigs died!" LOL XD

"I just don't understand you, you're naughty and untrustworthy, you steed!" LOL

    "you like brocolli" LMAO

    this is AWESOME!

  • does anyone know where I can find a pattern for her boobs? I know bob makie made the original ones and I want to dress like this for halloween.

  • when i can't find something you know what i do!.... just google it! google has everything

  • @RAch711baby I did lots of google-ing before posting here. Still nothing. I guess I'll just make them without a pattern.

  • ah ha ha ha.

  • "OH NO, it's that horrible, mean, vulgar, ugly, pooey, yak, yuckey, wicked old witch!

    ...How you doing, honey."

    TOO FUNNY!!!

  • lmao... i love the fairy remark 3:12

    "doesn't this remind u of anyone? -

yea but he's upstairs takin a shower"

  • Thats cool to see Jack Gilford! I delivered groceries to his NYC apartment as a kid. He was a nice guy lived in a modest place, had a newspaper clip on his wall of him and George Burns in Vaudeville. I was happy to meet him at the age of 11, probably from his Cracker Jack commercials. He lived a block or so away from Bella Abzug, and also Geraldo Rivera, they were all pretty nice, lot of celebrities per block in the Village in the mid 1970's. The best part of the skit was

    Harvey's part, funny!

  • @verbusen nice..would love to hear more about your days in the village then!!!

  • Thanks, it was an experience for sure! I was not in a conventional family as a kid and ended up living with my older half brother there, no Mom or Dad. The Village was a hard place to live in for me and I joined a street gang for personal defense. Happy I left the place but also happy I lived there, did a lot of growing up quickly. My Mom was an artist (actress and oil painter) who started out with Al Pacino and Martin Sheen as close friends, she went crazy and they got famous. C'est la vie.

  • Interesting..you should write a book!! Did your mother work as an actress? What do you do now?

  • About me, I've done lot's of jobs through the years but since 9/11/2001 I've been primarily involved in those efforts to combat those attacks, working the last 6 years away from my home, my country, and my family in the Middle East. I'll be home next year and it will be another chapter in my life.

Sorry to post all this on Carol's clip, while I was living in a mad world in the 70's,alone, this show gave me a lot of joy in my life, it still does being alone now! Laughter is so good!

    Thks 4 post!

  • Bob Mackie rules!!

  • LMAO i love this show too bad comedy isn't like this nowadays

  • Gay-ay-ay teheheh :)

  • lmfao omg i just luv her

  • LOL! The saggy boos crack me up!

  • lol done done donel lol

  • OMG Harvey as a gay guy is hilarious, I've never seen this before.

  • ♫Some day my prince will come, some day...GET OUT OF HERE YOU LITTLE VULTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    LOL

  • @CaptainLadyAce how did u get that musical note to appear?

  • "AM I DYING!!!" LOL

  • Your actually in the sleep of death. There's only two things that will wake you, a kiss from a princess or chicken soup.

  • i thought snow white is a sweet and kind girl.but my sis says that it is 15 years later so snow white has become a greedy and hideous woman who has a big false breast

  • The "drum Bit" was straight out of old valdeville, but they tricked me-I expected Prince Charming to run off with "Bashful"-course I guess that would have been too much for t.v. at the time-but the cut on Happy marrying Nelson-not trying to be rude but Happy did have a resemblance a man.:) <3

  • its a play on words... happy=gay

  • jjaggers, O.k-but Nelson's wife WAS named Happy! So what point are YOU trying to make that I am missing?

  • No. Nelson Rockefeller's second wife's nickname was "happy." It was a terrible joke, like the rest of the rim-shot jokes.

  • Don't you like the way Harvey could play an effeminate sissy character and he could also play a mean thug both convincingly

  • ROFL i love the subtle gay jokes!!!

  • lmao at how when someone says something funny they play that little drum and they do a little dance. bahahah!

  • this is hilarious!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • LMFAO god can the prince be any gayer! XD

  • Isn't the Prince just a bit.......flamboyant?

  • I think the Prince is ALOT flamboyant! Lol

  • LMAO the Prince's giant stomach. They made Snow White better!

  • Jack Gilford!!! What a great actor. Hysterium, Simon the Likeable! That was great seeing him again.

  • totally hilarious. SNL, are you watching?

  • diddymuck,i think they always did watch. still funny to this day. ;)

  • That was hilarious. I especially loved the old beggar woman.

  • What a great video!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! <3<3

  • love it!!!!

  • there was no fairy godmother in the snow white story ...was there? that's cinderella, huh?

  • loved the show growing up, and Ruth Buzzi was cool

  • "i'm gonna deck you!" oh carol's delivery was always fantastic

  • I hate everything.

    You like broccoli.

  • Butt out! lol

  • Very funny skit! Thx!

  • Harvey, you go grrrrrrrrl!

  • What's with the kicking ??

  • Well what's for din din?" "soup Soup, dmb dumb" "Yum Yum" LOL

  • poor snow!!

  • This is wonderfull to see again!

  • Somewhere, oh SOMEWHERE, there is a skit with Harvey Korman as the big torpedo-bosomed female character (who I think appeared as the mom in "Stomach Turns"), singing "My castanets-(click-click-click-click), my cas-ta-nets" (click-click-click-click). I remember this clearly when I was NINE, and have wondered WHAT skit that was and when and where, if ever I would find it. Sound familiar, anyone? I think he had on a Spanish veil, and was trying to be rather coquettish. It was hilarious...

  • love it! "You know what I'm talking?"

  • This is soooo brilliant! So ahead of its time! Ugh, I'm off to bed with my boyfriend! ;-)

  • if u look at 1:48 - 1:50 u can see a hand pushing the horeses leg

  • The horse was actually a ride.HAHAHAH!!!!

  • is that ruth buzzy, the fairy godmother?

  • sure is!!

  • sagging breast and a gay prince? Wasn't this a bit racy for the era?

  • Yup! That's what made it soooo great! :)

  • No. This was very much of its time. The 70's were much more sexually liberated than the Reagan 80's, when the AIDS crisis began and there was a distinct swing to the right, with much more conservative attitudes.

  • I would argue the opposite. By today's standards, this skit might be considered

"politically incorrect." But that goes for some of Carol's other skits as well. For instance, her skit in which she plays an overweight ballerina is hilarious, but by today's standards it might (unfortunately) be considered offensive to obese people. People have gotten too sensitive for such broad humor (which is too bad).

  • People probably would take offense, which is amazing considering how overly gross/sexual sketch comedy is today. I mean, that stuffs got it's place and can be funny when used sparingly but it seems almost like it's all that drives popular comedy anymore. This show had it going on and I wish I'd been alive and old enough to understand it when it came out. This cast rocks!

  • I kinda know what you mean. It seems like a lot of humor today is based on "oo, what can we get away with??"

  • "Soup soup, dumb dumb" made me laugh so hard.

  • I just discovered Carol Burnett show...boy is it HILARIOUS.....thanks to youtube and thanks to you I cant stop cracking up

    Mykee; Philippines :)

  • Bert Lahr as Bashful?

  • That's not Bert Lahr. It's Jack Gilford

  • What other things has Jack Gilford done? I SWEAR that I recognize him by his face and voice from another movie or something!

  • Jack Gilford was a famous character actor. He used to appear in the Cracker Jacks commercials. He was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for "Save the Tiger" (1973).

  • @sstavsky He also played Hans Christian Andersen's father in Rankin-Bass' "The Daydreamer". He also was in "Cocoon".

  • @caitlinjane92 He was Julius in The TV series SOAP in the second season.

  • Buddy Hackett

  • Ahahaha!! So funny!! I love the little move every time there's a pun.

  • lol yeah and the drum rim shot.

  • I love it when she does that "yuck icky pooey fleh phfft!" thing lol. And is that... dang what's her name, Gilda Radner?

  • Carol Burnett

  • Oops,I mean was that Gilda as the fairy Godmother lol.

  • Its Ruth Buzzi as the Fairy Godmother :)!!!

  • Thank you, you rock! lol

  • I hate everything!

    You like broccoli

    BUTT OUT!!!

  • This show was just the best. No one does it like this any more.

  • "Doesn't this remind you of anyone?"

"Yeah but he's upstairs taking a shower."

    lmao

  • It's that horrible, mean, vulgar, ugly, BLAAA, witch!!... How ya been, honey?

    LOL!!!!!!

  • The incomparable JACK GILFORD as Bashful is hilarious.

  • I LOVE WHEN THE KiNG DiES!!! HiLARiOUS!!!!

  • XD XD

  • "How do I look?"

"Terrible, but it's no reflection on you." Buh duh buhp.

    God I love this show!!

  • Ruth Buzzi was a regular "supporting" player on Carol's short-lived variety series "THE ENTERTAINERS" (1964-'65), the show she co-hosted with Caterina Valente and Bob Newhart and doesn't like to discuss these days because she didn't "control" it, as she did her later variety series...

  • YES!! AMEN!!

  • This always cheers me up when I'm blue!

  • that WAS FRICKIN HILARIOUS IDC WHO THE HELL YOU ARE THAT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOO HILARIOUS

  • My God, this is perfect!

  • This is too hilarious!!!! I always knew that vacuous twit Snow White was doomed to live a dull, empty life!

    Thanks for posting!!

  • ha thats funnnnnnny

  • is that Ruth Buzzi as the *Godmother?*

and wasn't that actor Jack in *Babes in Toyland* as the Toy keeper?

  • Jack Gilford? I thought he rather resembled Sterling Holloway; but evidently he never appeared on the Carol Burnett Show. Thanks for the clarification.

  • RIP:HARVEY KORMAN

  • Harvey Korman's massive green outfits crack me up no end XD

He had a nice set of legs, though! XD Safe journey, Harvey.
