Nice Video...The correct English spelling is Kyiv - you should find that all informed and new sources are slowly adopting the correct spelling correcting the Grammatically incorrect Russian name Kiev which was enforced in Ukraine during soviet repression
oh suck it you twat, let them spell it how they want, doesnt it count that 100% of the population knows how to speak russian, and most choose to, we were all born there into two languages, why should we have to only use one now?
actually Ukrainians were born into one language - Ukrainian but were forced to speak Russian due to the russian repression and soviet social engineering when they tried all means to supplant Ukrainian culture with their russian crap so stick that where it counts twat
100 % of ukrainians know Ukrainian language but were onced forced to speak russian under soviet repression - in fact their russian is a mix of ukrainian - so who's a twat? twat
Oh my gosh! This video is awesome! I miss the Metro. The escalators in Kiev are twice as fast and twice as long as they are in America. The first couple of times I went on the escalator I jumped on and off because I was worried that I'd get my foot stuck or I'd trip and fall. I also took pictures in there because I didn't know you weren't supposed to. lol The Metro is great. It was even better when I learned how not to stand out as an American. (o:
Could that be the longest descent into the subway ever? I thought Moscow had the longest, but this out of control! And what's up with the ridiculous glowing ads on every side. So bizarre. They figured out a good place to put them in though.
@filippos13 The deepest metro station in the world is in Kiev, named "Arsenalna". 105 meters under the ground. At that station there are TWO such escalators as on the video. As for Pyongyang, there is no oficial information about their underground. But, it is said, it is the deepest, really
i got back to the States from Kiev six weeks ago and absolutely loved it. I love Kiev. I felt safe the entire time. The people were amazingly friendly and so helpful with directions and literally walking me several blocks to find the kretschatik metro and other places. it was so nice and refreshing to see such an optimistic city where people can talk about a variety of subjects and not just about "me, myself and I".
My Aunt is from there. She left a while ago but went back to visit last year...she said it hasn't changed at all. Ukrainian sounds kind of like Russian...I understand it a little bit. What's it like over there.
yeah there are policemen everywhere but they do nothing to save foreigners...i dont want to say it s a bad city but 1 month ago i was attacked by 8 skinheads in the middle of town.i dont know why they do it :)whatever good luck...
yeah, but those policemen grab innocent kids who drink on the streets, but they're supposed to arrest REAL criminals, aren't they? i live in this city for my entire life. and i have to say that i am sick of it.
why? even if there are a lot (which is only true at the days of football matches), they will only touch black blockes or turks. Why not walking alone if you're white?

100 з х.. метрів в глибину. Така глибока тому що її хотіли використовувати і як бомбосховище під час війни.
