@KenfromDublin I'm brazilian and I agree with you. I've watched Brady playing for Juventus (as well as against us I think in 88), and I became instantly amazed by his talent and inteligence. He reminded me southamerican playmakers like Socrates or Falcão.

I've watched recently 2 matches of George Best and although he was a great dribbler and had a lot of pace, he looked like just a very good winger. I truly don't know why some people put him in the same level of Pelé, Cruyff or Beckenbauer.

Thank you for this tribute. Brady is my favourite Gunner of all times. I remember when he first started and how easily he dribbled past players almost in slow motion and his passes were so accurately placed and timed. The young gunners don't realise how lucky they are to have him.

Im too young to have followed his career properly, but from the video and his reputation, it's clear that dribbling was a big part of his game. Something neither scholes or beckham can really say. Scholes can beat a man sometimes, but never had the pace to be as effective at it.

I was at the '79 Brady Bunch Final, N. London born with a dribble of Irish ;-), GooNeR TIL I DIE, & lived in Dublin in the v late 70's/early 80's.

He WASN'T given his due credit at the time! I lived in a few areas in Dub, the majority HATED Arsenal with a vengeance.. we had won sweet FA since '71 (b4 I was born-'72) they were Glory Fans, MANCS in Macs! Arsenal WERE 'The Irish Team'! Always will be IMO! Brady was the dogs bollox! We sold him too soon, but Gunner thru' n thru'!
