I love this series,Gothic 1,Gothic 2+Add-on,Gothic 3,Risen(Didn't play Arcania*Gothic4* and the Add-on Forsaken Gods for G3)But i think they all good :) and Gothic 3 is not that bad at all ! The only thing i don't really like that much is the Fighting system .. its too easy,you can take an army of orcs by your own ... In Gothic 1 more then 1 orc was SUICIDE ! :D but i like all of them .. @janjabanja gothic 2 and 3 were great, 4 was a slight disappointment due to the fact that it is somewhat linear. However gothic 4 is still an alright game if you liked the series there are just a few things that i found irritating such as not being able to drop off ledges, you have to jump forward it makes the game play feel very awkward. it feels like it was built to be played on an xbox. there are some items that seem like you can pick them up but you can't. the story is good.

@roksoulja84 i played all gothic 1 gothic 2 night of the raven and 3 forsaken gods gothic 3 has nice graphics but its SHIT story is shit gameplay is shit RP is crap dunt buy that get gothic 2 and make sure you get the expansion of gothic 2 called Night of the Raven trust me it makes the game epic (dont start the game without night of the raven it will ruin your experience when u get night of the raven installed)

@roksoulja84 You should definitely get Gothic 2, even though the graphics aren't as good as Gothic 3, it has a waaaaay better storyline and is waaaaay more fun. I should also tell you that Gothic 3 contains a lot of glitches that need to be repaired by patches. So yeah, DEFINITELY get gothic 2. Hope this helped.

First off all I would like to congrad the makers of this game ... lol in 2 years they managed to come out with Gothic 1, 2, 3, and soon comming ( September ) Gothic 4 ... Now if I compare 1 with 3 only the looks of the object are changed ... and of course your inventory is a bit different. Still this game gets rated 34th on the best RPG's since ....a long time ... lol If you liked this game ... Try giving RISEN a shot .... Allot better gameplay better storyline and I Loved it

What do you actually have to do when you die? Does someone know good combos when fighting, and how cn i defeat so many groups of orcs? I'm new to this epic game, and I'm a bit lost with the basics :s

Well, since you're talking about orcs, i suppose you've reached ch. 2. However, going against orcs that early would be easier(not easy) if you're a mercenary. Anyway, fighting many orcs at once, is really difficult at a low level. I'ld suggest you to stick on your quests for now and avoid the packs of orcs. You can come back later (ch.4/5) for them. Also if you're a mage, when you reach ch5, learn the Wave of Death. It will be child's play to destroy any enemy, no matter how numerous they are.

i've got a better trick, and u only need the 3rd circle to use it, just create the fear rune, and when the orcs r close use it and they will freeze for some sec and then run away, i didn't believe it would work against orcs, but it does, also try using the fear close to the mercenary outside onars farm, they will run across the entire map down to harbor of khorinis, i didn't believe that either cuz its only suppose to last 5 sec, but it did
