  • Should have maybe practiced this a little more...

  • The best version of this was done by Latton Patton from San Diego Lighthouse in Heaven singing to JESUS.

  • beats the mormon tabernacle

  • Differest styles is one thing, but how could anyone possibly think this song doesnt give Glory to the Lord?..Outstanding harmony...I'd rather have a song sung with a little "feeling" than technically perfect, thus becoming "robotic"

  • a beautiful song and it was beautifully sang! i praise God for this mens' quartet!

  • This is one of my favorite songs really like the baritone part wish I couldve been there live gona go to wcbc 2 years from now

  • I agree!

  • This is one my choir LOVES to sing!

  • I remember that "stormy night" 13 years ago like it was yesterday, when "just in time I saw the Light", and this poor sinner was rescued from the sea of sin, death and hell!

Thank You Jesus for saving me! Thank God for the Lighthouse!

  • love the bass

  • You all with your comments are unbelievable. I'm not even sure what it is you are calling sliding. You need to ask yourself what kind of God you serve. HE created music to be sung with more than machine like precision. No disrespect to this group they did well considering the genre they are singing. But everyone else on here talking really needs to figure out what pleases the heart of God.

  • Your response deserves a reply. The 'kind' of God question is a curious one.

If you trust in the Bible as the written Word, then there's no end to a study in music. But two key points come to mind:

Exodus 15:2 and James 3:15. I would conclude that if your 'God is your song' but your music is 'earthly, sensual, or devilish', you are at odds with Biblical teaching on music.

This business of sliding, etc, is nothing when comparing it to "Christian Rap" and other forms of violent music.

  • Amen and amen!

  • my abosolute favorite song! thanx a lot!!!

  • Beautiful song. Such a blessing :)

  • As a leader in music at our church, I purchased all of the CDs offered by a WCBB traveling group last year. I want to support and encourage people whenever possible.

What is sad, is that I could only recommend 1/2 dozen songs out of 10 CDs of music. This was AFTER asking about the methods & techniques employed by the differing groups singing their songs.

Most WBBC folks are super (including a former pastor), but when it comes to music, I've concluded they they park too close to Hollywood.

  • It's WCBC.

  • Have to disagree. While i agree that choral technique is important in its way, communicating the message is of extreme importance. I have witnessed so many groups that have all the choral techniques down, yet have no life in their music. Aside from that, I believe our methods of discerning music have been made more on man's personal feelings and whims, rather than judging solely from the principles of God's Word.

  • i have put every one of these w.c.b.c choir songs on my ipod. thanks for loafing!

  • HI, is this a group or folks from a church. I really like them! Have they recorded?

  • Lancaster Baptist Church/West Coast Baptist College.

  • This song is amazingly beautiful. And Matt McMorris is blessed with such a wonderful voice.

  • This song makes me cry. Since we are a military family this song makes much sense were it not for the lighthouse where would this ship be?

  • As long as your doing it for the right reason and you truly mean to give all the honor and glory to the Lord!!!!! what's wrong with it ?

  • ...too much sliding, the one on the CD is better.

  • There ain't nothin wrong with sliding and this guy does it it great taste.

  • often the one's who criticize the most are the one's who cannot do it themselves!

  • i likey...=)

    *clap clap*

  • second guy from the right is Jon Guy... one of the top Christian piano players in the west coast

  • who is the second guy from the right????

  • It's Matt McMorris, the assistant music director at the church. =)

  • Who IS the guy in the green tie?? Anybody know?

  • i like this song!! BUT the guy with the lime green tie needs to stop sliding!!

  • You know some sliding is very tasteful. We do this song at my church and the guy who sings the solo slides all around.

  • yea but he knows how to stop it and he doen't wcbc doesn't alow him to go on trips to other churches because of it too! did you know that?

  • Well heaven forbid we sing with a little life.

  • Hallelujah!

  • well of course WBCB doesn;t have him go to other churches, because he's not a college student.

  • amen!!!

  • =)GOOOOD JOB
