Haaaaaiiii.... marty will put his middle finger up his ass and tingle his balls with the ring finger... that's gona be abso abso abso absolutely bliss... in all it's glory...
i gave up for a couple of months but i really don't want all the money i spent on equipment to be for nothing so im going to try again so any advice about changing chords will be appreciated because that was what i allways struggled with thanks. lol my rage got top comment.
Hey! Have you considered the X7 Guitar Mind Implant (search on google)? Ive heard some unbelivable things about it and my coworker learned a bunch of great tunes with it.
I am right handed and my weak, tiny, girly left hand refuses to obtain manual dexterity or strength quickly >_> and then there are the nails...so much work to be done O_O
i've had my guitar for 3 yrs now and I still can't play!! I'm an opera singer so tuning isn't an issue. I have long and stubborn fingers!! It hurts too much...hmph...I really want to learn. Any tips to relax the wrist and fingers so as to facilitate the movement from a chord to the next? Actually, any tips to maintain the fingers on the correct fret without losing the posture?
good to knw i m not the only one suffering from weird finger problem. according to what Marty says, that G chord is most basic. But I m finding it damn difficult. When i place pinky and ring finger, it's fine. But when i try to put middle finger on first 2nd fret of A string, ring and pinky go haywire. If i try to put them hard on position i have to bend middle finger so it touches G string. HORRIBLE. I am damn irritated. Still I wanna learn. Wat to do !!
Than kyou Thank you Thank you!!!! From learnign this, I passed my guitar exam! Thank you sooo much Marty! :) I subscribed, liked, and favourited this video. :)
@wisekrisis Depends on the chord, on a G-chord you strum all the strings, C-chord you strum all the strings, A-chord you strum all the strings except the low E-string, D-chord you strum all the strings except the low-e string, E-chord strum all the strings. Those are the basic chords, hope that helps :)
I just started learning but the thing is when I play the notes come out really bad, but when my friend who has been playing a while plays it, it sounds great. D: Any Help? Oh and btw what are open strings? Thanks
@vanyen8 me too. Im still new. I think its cuz that ur strumming what ur not supposed to strum and that it made a sound thats not part of the chord lol i dunno, try using ur fingertips to hold chords down so it wont block other strings or somethin
@zerocode21 it means the string it refers to should not be strummed eg x20032 means the first string should not be played at all. hope that makes sense :)
Hey dude this is a cool lesson. I thought you might like to check out a new guitar website that really helps beginner guitarists. >> RexPearson. com << Would love for you to give some feedback and maybe even do a guest lesson for it?
@PurpleZebrax3 In case you haven't found your answer... The numbers represent which Fret hes playing on which string... the X is telling you NOT to play a string while an O is telling you to play a string open

I have trouble with making the G chord - I have to start from the PINKIE not the index finger. When I start from the index finger it's hard to put my fourth fing on the F (2nd) string. Any suggestions?
And yes, I am practicing, but I'm wondering if theres liked a secret to it or something.
Hey Marty. I have a problem playing the G chord. When I put my index finger on the 2nd fret of the 5th string it touches the 4th string and makes it sound weir when i play it. Any help? :(
@PlayingIsFun Dude, your comment is a month ago. Do you still experience the same thing? 'Cause I'm just a beginner and asking a help from a dude that has been through that prob. Please reply ;]
@black082195 Hi mate, I haven't been playing too long, but I did have the same problem as PlayingIsFun and yourself.....it is quite difficult to get used to, but if you use only your finger tip on the strings, you can hit them more accurately. It is quite painful until your tips get harder, but it won't take you too long.
@black082195 Yeah i got over that problem. I would recommend you to practice A LOT so you fingers could get used to the frets, specially when switching chords. probably it will take you about one or two weeks to master it but just forget about time and you'll see the results :D
omg! thanks for the advise. i almost loose hope but when you told me i can be better within three months, then you inspired me, i thought i was the only one who experience this way. I really really want to learn how to play my favourite songs...thnks again.
Hi, I have a question. I've been playing guitar for a while now but my chord changes are not so good. I am planning to learn songs by the Beatles, Nirvana and Oasis to improve my rhthem playing and was wondering if doing so on an acoustic guitar would be easier then on an electric if it has a wider thicker neck. Also, do acoustic guitars generally have wider necks then electric guitars?
Trying to practice switching from my C chord to a G chord. Third Eye Blind - Jumper is the song I'm trying to handle for my first song. Thanks for the great pointers!
This video is really awesome, I am just a bit concerned it might still be a bit too difficult for beginners. When I was learning I was advised to use some of the videos on EASYSTRINGS (dot) INFO
