When you first learn bagpipes it is very difficult to keep the bag inflated. then when all the 3 drones get switched on its even more difficult. No normal lungs can do this, you need to progressively turn the drones on the more you play them to give your lungs the chance to keep up with the demand. Took me 3 years just to get the breathing right on all 3 drones and not tiring myself out, your mouth also gets numb like you have been to the dentist due to hard blowing. Its a physical instrument
