Thank you so much! HP told me the sensors had gone bad and I would have to replace the printer, but I got it working beautifully again thanks to your video!
Another possible issue not identified in the video:
these printers are equipped with a blue "photo tray" in the main paper tray area. If this is pushed in, it'll try to draw from that instead of the main train tray, causing this same type of error. The solution is to reach your head in, and pull out that blue tray until it is flush with the main tray.
I was pulling my hair out from this error and no help from cust serv. I googled and found this video and solved my problem. Absolutely awesome even though I had to go through the entire first three steps before solving y problem. Thanks,Michael
The instructions in this video are also true for the HP: Photosmart 8250 Series Photosmart D6100 Series Photosmart D7100 Series Photosmart D7200 Series Photosmart D7300 Series Photosmart D7400 Series Photosmart 3100 Series Photosmart 3200 Series Photosmart 3300 Series Photosmart C5100 All-In-One Series Photosmart C6100 All-In-One Series Photosmart C6200 All-In-One Series Photosmart C7100 All-In-One Series Photosmart C7200 All-in-One Series Photosmart C8100 All-In-One Series

HP Support sucks. I have all the latest drivers and it still only works about 50%
Of the time. There tech support sucks big time. I will never buy another of there printers again.
In fact, I will never buy any of there products again Unless im willing to spend a whole day trying to get help from there support
