Why is it that whenever something neat happens, a bunch of people jump into the mix and shout inane crap while people who want to use the scientific method and discover the truth get lost in the distraction?

I have no idea what this is or if it even really is real.

But something like a baseball game should be recorded. Fans at the game would report hearing it. It would not be hard to acquire real data to examine.

I live near Tampa and I actually watched this game. This sound went on for over 5 minutes. There was a fairly large thunderstorm that preceeded the sound. With that said, in 7 years of faithfully watching the Rays (formerly Devil Rays) play on television, and in person, I never heard this. Apparently Dewayne Staats and Brian Anderson (the commentators you hear in the video) never have either.

There was maybe 13K at the game and at least half of those were away Tigers fans coming to see Verlander. For all they know that noise is normal there at that stadium. So about 6K heard it. People have been hearing weird rushing sounds in Florida before earthquakes. If you're seriously not a troll then read up on HAARP and induced seismicity.
