AI can only go so far as to aim at the largest target on the human body. These guns are for the most part remotely operated, just like the AF's UAV's. And when it comes to shooting someone square in the head, they have to be VERY close, no matter how well-aimed a shot is. Snipers are a different story, that's why we train HUMAN snipers.

they developed this thing to help ease the demand on manpower to try to guard a very long demilitarized zone between north and south korea. these are already in trial deployment, and they'd have likely placed these things in places where they can't easily be seen, such as behind some foliage. with many of these things guarding the border, the koreans can cut down the current crop of massive borders guards to a much smaller number of remote operators. btw, you're kinda wrong about RPGs.
