you are wrong, firmware 3.0.1 in unlockable and it doesnt update the baseband. besides it doesnt change anythin. only thing new is that 3.0.1 has a patch for text messsage hecking into iphone.

I jailbreak phones personally and I believe if you first shut it off the hold the power and the home key for a few seconds then release the power button that should do the trick... BUT!!! that's to restore the iPhone.. That's the only to get it back to 3.0 without any jailbreak on it... You will then need to plug it back into iTunes and update it again... You will then have nothing on it.. I suggest you back it up first..

my bad, on itunes, go to where its showing your iphone option and from there on the main screen look for the option that says restore, thats one of wait the other would be while your iphone is pluged to your computer, click the power and home bottom for a few seconds until you get the itunes error and it will recomend you to restore your iphone.

u can also just update it to the 3.0.2 OS when that comes out, or if you have a Mac than you can google iphone 3.0.1 or 3.0 software download, go to itunes, then you hold down the shift key and press the restore button, then search 3.0 or 3.0.1 firmware in the search bar, and when u find it you click on it and press select.

i think this may keep your apps, but i suggest that u back it up first. by the way, biggkidd101's "force restore" thing does not work on iPod touches. you have to this ;)
