  • gimme dubstep!!! Cant find it here!

  • Stick to d n b matey!

  • the second song its fking amazing, where i can find it ?...anyway nice mix :)))

  • As per usual a band wagon chaser who has no idea what dub step is. If I had a pound for everytime this happened.

  • @satoterror Me, a bandwagon jumper? Fool.

  • @hypercatjohn Seeya bandwagon boy.

  • @satoterror Ta babe x

  • Sick :D

  • @mcBurGerz12 How?

  • Great mix! (XXYY should be XXXY though) :)

  • I'm re-visiting the classics. The Moment of Truth track came in so well! So powerful! All of the tracks blend really well from a seemingly extinct era of dubstep.

  • I would give an awful lot for a sound system like that >.> An awful lot X3

  • nice mix you got here bro likin the calm sounds! chk out my page when you get a chance just started mixin and threw my first mix up the other day!

  • To all the this is not dub-step critics... music is influential and is influenced .......... all Genres have there own variances.... if u are looking for a fart box or the only sound that is on tv.... get a pair of balls and fix up lol

    commercialization of music = overkill

Yes this mix is Dubstep but not your justin bieber type, or shall i say main-stream tune....its Electronic, Minimal, and Break influenced like dnb... each to there own

  • @MrPastarocker

Just because there isn't a wobble, doesn't mean it isn't dubstep.

  • So I clicked on this video expecting HD Dubstep.

Atleast they got the HD part right >.>

  • @MrPastarocker Well...if it was up to me, it'd just be called electronic music.

  • @MrPastarocker yeah except you're wrong

  • @MrPastarocker This is dubstep.........why, are you the kid who listens to skrillex and datsik and doesn't know shit about REAL dubstep?

  • love it

  • Nice laid back mix, I'm def gonna check out more of your stuff.

  • Dub not dubstep

  • @TheMeloFelo haha. this is 140 electronic music. it's certainly not dub, if you knew what dub actually is you'd know what a prick you look.

  • @chidamole ahaha that made sense lol.

  • @eddychapman thankyou, the m44-7 has too shrill a top end for my liking, i love the rounded, warm sound that the m35's give you, and they sound phenomenal up loud. The xone32 is a choice mixer, I love it, it's not easy to use as the visuals arent great...as in the channel led's, the gains are on the back. it sounds FAR superior to pioneers. I'd recommend plumping a bit extra into a mixer and getting the xone 42. the channel led's are better and it has the option of usb recording.

  • How can you make à party out of this music?

  • I cant find moment of truth any where ?

  • so what kind of machines do people that play dubstep use?

  • @mosnotdef1 lots :)

  • Easy mate,

Can you let me know how you find the xone 32 for mixing dubstep and drum and bass. Sure it's same as any other music just shop write ups say designed for house and techno DJ's and I can't see why.

  • Vinyl is as wobbly as the music.

  • I can't believe this mix is already a year old. I have to give you and "rockyfistscats" credit for getting me into dubstep. This and the February mix are Really really good!

  • very nice mix....i have m35x cartridges on my 1200's also, love em...track light, stick to the record like glue, and sound great!

  • yeah they're nice, very nice mids and high's and the lows are clean. They take a bit of time to bed in though I find, and only last a year or so of average use. Thinking about getting ol1 tonearms and grado carts...uber

  • NICE bro.. Love the mixes...check out my first post...

  • What on Earth are you on about?

  • @spencexxx lick my puss

  • this tune is properly good! oh yeah i found this amzing mix with propabbly the best tracklisting ever just type in "posidun dubstep" and its the first one. cant recommend it enough!

  • i've just started a dubstep channel... full tunes, old and new. the channel is pretty bare right now but it's only the beginning! enjoy

PS. these mixes are pretty damn sweet, nice work.. keep pushing the sound

  • love your track selection man, keep it up!

  • Nice! I like watching you spinning it :)

  • nice. ne1 who likes these mixes check mine out for a cheeky lil skank :) peace

  • 5 +fav ;)

  • hey good track list . im usually very picky when it comes to dubstep. awesome bro.

    5*****

  • liken that low track

  • gud job mate!!!!

  • Haha diggin your username mate

  • The vinyl is wobbling! :O

  • its warped nob ed

  • Maybe you would have understood what I'm trying to say if I wrote the word "even" at the beginning of the sentence. Also, learn English if you live in the UK.

  • Been listening tot ds for quite some time now, but got really bored with it - until seein Martyn at the Lowlands festival. He got met hooked all over again.

    Thanks for sharing these mixes.

  • Top choice of choons ;)

  • hey man,

    sweet mix :)

    great tunes on there!!

    keep it up!

  • pretty sick

  • good chill out set man i cud proper get into this dubstep stuff lol

  • good mixing man, how do you like those krk's? are they powerful enough thinkin bout gettin some but heard they don't produce alot of bass I might go for the RP6-G2

  • because my rooms relatively small, they produce plenty of bass for what I use them for, they handle dubstep and dnb with ease. I think the lowest they'll go is 53hz? Ace for something so small. If you can get the g2 6's I'd say do it, they're louder and a better shape so will sound nicer!

  • thanks for replying back, my room isn't as big either so I may just go for the kind u have. As for good mixing u don't really need anything too loud to mix and currently what i have now is way too loud but they produce hardly any bass at all

  • 5:28 and a bit onwards is so damn good!

  • wow that moment of truth track is soild, dont really deluve into dubstep that much i need to check more from this artist!

  • Wicked choons mate.

Hypercatjohn is the major source of my urban-choon-based diet; ensuring I get my RDA of filthy beats.

  • I think it's not bad at all.. NOT the GREATEST but I dont see everyone who downed you DOING BETTER either! Keep t coming.. =)

  • Good Work Jonno, old chap

  • I'm sorry to see that you're deaf.

  • ahaha legend

  • Awesome, sounds cool man. Good luck with your uni work dude.

  • Nice, I'm looking forward to some sick jungle in High-Def - will you be doing any?

  • Yeah, just snowed under with uni work at the moment, will try get one up within a week or so! got some nice new tunes from paradox, nebula etc ;)

  • should i buy the krk rokit 5?

  • I'd recommend them, they're really good monitors

  • sweet

  • very nice job :) i want 1 hour set give me link if you have

  • HD :-) what a lovely thing

  • I agree, so much more thought through than all that wobbling shite. I'll keep my eyes open for other mixes, and i'm gonna check your playlist for old school jungle as well. Keep up the mixing, you obviously know what's good

  • Nice one, hope you enjoy them, going to be putting up a high quality jungle mix soon

  • Big up for this excellent mix. Yet again convinced me what potential and multitude dubstep actually has. Thank you

  • Thanks dude, I love this sound, much deeper and well thought out than most other stuff

  • i can see the veins on your hands!

  • Sexy as fuck innit

  • defo appealing to my vampire side my darlink

  • I freakin love it, mate. You have great taste in Dubstep.

    5*

  • you really know how to spin

  • amazing again!

  • "really tight mix man, incredibly smooth. almost a bit too smooth"

Now theres a compliment john, hahahahahaha, keep em comin man!!!!

  • really tight mix man, incredibly smooth. almost a bit too smooth... you should work a bit on the dynamics a bit timo, needs more sick drops etc.

  • Doesn' work with this type of sound, the drumfunk and jungle mixes I have put up however...

  • I also find the mix a bit over-smoothed, and I would say that almost all duby / tecky / broken stuff IS a good fundament for fader-play and tricks.

    Transiting tracks 2 / 3 sounded a bit oddly.

  • Deep dubstep like this simply doesn't work with drop mixes, and you can't do any cutting like you can with jungle or drumfunk, it just sounds horribly odd.

  • wrong - a mix that is too smooth is the same as a car that's too fast. it's meant to be smooth or you're doing it wrong.

    nice mix j

  • With the "smoothnes" I was just quoting tifius, I actually ment it was too static, apart from records smoothly switching not much was happening. If that was "hypercatjohn's" idea - thats fine, It's his taste n all!

I just dont agree you cant make it more dynamic or playfull. Not all cars are built to just run fast. Peace.

  • Put up a dubstep mix with tracks like this with cuts and switches then!

  • Great mix, so smooth and even flow!

  • good tunes.

    playlist?

  • Playlist up now.

  • Crystal clear, really good mix

  • Cheers man.
