I'm American and don't see anything wrong with the song. America does have a lot of influence around the world, and it isn't always good. Ask around America and you would find out most Americans don't want to influence the world, we just want to be ourselves. That said other countries also need to look at themselves, our influence only spreads if you accept it. America isn't the only guilty party here. Europe has done the same for centuries.

You know, after considering the lyrics, I think this song is a potshot at what Rammstein apparently believes to be American imperialism.... the problem is, imperialism as we know it is pretty much dead in the 21st century. It happens mostly by economics and such now instead of war.

If the American military burned down an Afghan village, it's... highly unlikely that such an act was sanctioned by their higher-ups. But I wouldn't know-- Did this actually happen? I said it tends to happen through economics now, and that that was just my interpretation of what Rammstein was talking about in this song.

It's not insulting Americans, Rammstein is just commenting on how America has a way of exporting their culture on to other nations, and that's not saying that it's the government doing this, but the American Corporations that are based in the U.S. which push their product and label on a global level, like Mcdonald's in Europe, Walmart in Malaysia, Nike in Pakistan, etc.

Just to put this out there, America is one of the most nationalized countries along with China. But When Till says that "We're all living in America" I take it, not as something against America, but rather, he's saying that even the countries who keep to themselves have war and have their own problems. Of course, on the outside the song sounds like it's against America, but when you think about it, it means that even the smaller countries have their own problems.
