I don't want to rock the boat here and Lord knows i've no reason to rock it cause O' Rourke is in a league of his own but by his own admission it IS about a dog. He said as much in a show in the Spirit Store when i saw him a few months ago. Feck all that tho- i still like to think it's some lost love called Sarah. The song can work like that too, as long as you believe it. Great artist this guy:)

The love for a pet is literally as strong as for a human family member..... Great we have someone who's proud to admit to this love - not many want to admit it.....

I have a sister by the same name, I have heard this before and never noticed the name.

I bought the Phil lynot single for her 30 years ago. Its eight years since I had anything to do with her and I will never go there again.When I was young I couldnt understand how siblings fell out, now Im fully aware as to why, theres nothing but abuse for me there, great song pity about the fucking awful memories but thanks anyway Declan.
