It's funny cause this has happened to me many times at peggy's cove, some people enjoy being close to the water i know whenever i'm there i get drawn to it and try to get as close as i can to it. i don't believe this people have self-destructive issues, they're just taking a risk by getting close to something that fascinates them. Everybody has to take risks something don't they?
There are always daredevil types who get to close to the water when the sea is rough at Peggy's Cove. I guess these people just have self-destructive issues.
Back during the 90s, one of my friends who was working at the Sou'wester restaurant jumped in to rescue an idiot-tourist who had been swept in. He could easily have been killed and I'm still a bit p.o.-ed about it.
I love going to Peggys Cove, and I often find myself having to scold landlubbers and cityslickers. :)
We were there in June and saw a stupid woman get swept right off the rocks. It took them about 45 mins to get her back to shore .. we didn't think she'd make it. A young boy working in the gift shop risked his life getting her out. Very scary!!
Good idea, if you're trying to commit suicide.

That is a huge problem, tourists come, and think it is safe to go right down on the rocks...

not a smart thing to do, considering only about 25% of people that fall into those waters survive.

Maybe less. I wish people wouldn't do stuff like that and just enjoy themselves not risk their lives for a joke.
