Very non specific and the usual tarot card speal.....good fortune, something negative happened in the past, etc etc etc all said to me before. its a load of generic crap. Unless I get something more specific I don't believe it.

By them asking a question, and i drawing cards relating to their past or current situation, it may help them to identify a problem that they may not have realised before. It may also help them find ways in which to improve or repair faults in their life

The Cards are not magic; they just assist you to sort out your problems in your own way psychologically using imagery. Uhh, I thought I was listening to a Marilyn Manson interview. My favorite part is 6:05when the lovers cards magically has something to do with the wheel of fortune. How that plays out from there cracks me up. Followed by, "...you got a couple of these pentacles."

sad to say your reading doesn't have a message. more of ah, ah, ah, ah... would make the querant doubt of what youre talking about. truthfully, the querant might say all it's all BS since you're not conveying any message, you just gave him the card meanings with some BS. try to do more practice, take psychic test and meditate. i've been doing this for 2 months and i can do better reading than you do. this video is not worth showing. good luck!
Why on earth do you turn each card over individually. The whole point of the spread is so the cards can be read together. One card can change the meaning of another card. My Mum reads tarot cards much better than you. You seemed so vague.
That's not the way it's done, fellow! With any tarot spread, you first turn all the cards, look at them, try to feel the right message for the querent and when you got a clear image you start talking. It's a very good way to avoid the "uuuuhhhhhhm, uhm, umh,". Annoying and incorrect!!

A convincing tarot reading requires three things - showmanship, cold-reading and a pack of tarot cards. That's all it is. No science, no hocus-pocus.
Part of this is, of course, the vague whiff of the "occult" that comes from the idea of tarot cards. If you wrote "you will die in a car accident", "you will be successful" etc. on 52 regular playing cards and had people pick those, they wouldn't believe it. Also like other people responded: Torot is used in all kinds of ways, you can't say: This method is good and that is wrong. It's all about how you feel about it yourself, atleast that's what I understood after the book I read.

Not really - the meanings he ascribes to the cards are accepted interpretations for those cards in those positions. Also, tarot is an intuitive art, so once you learn the techniques and meanings and you read for a person, your interpretation is for that person depending on the question/s they have and the situation they are in at the time. And nothing is set in stone, you have your free will. What tarot does is give you insight.
Just wondering: do most readers prefer for the one receiving the reading to ask questions during the reading, or is it best to let the reader complete it, and then ask questions?
It can go either way, depending on the people involved (querant and reader). I like some back and forth because it helps focus the reading. Also some cards ring a bell for people, and that's significant. As more cards are revealed you see relationships between different cards as well. Either way.
where did you learn how to read tarot cards? i ask you because i read 1 book of tarot and they had the same card set up but you read it in a different pattern. like the third card you turnd over you sad "in the past" and in the book i read said it was "what you strive for". so right now i'm a little confused. o_O
I have read dozens of books on tarot. There are as many different theories and layouts as there are authors. I recommend reading SEVENTY-EIGHT DEGREES OF WISDOM by Rachel Pollack. It is considered one of the best. Thanks for your comment. -Nathaniel Paluga
What matters is the intent when you lay the spread down. I've seen this one, the Celtic Cross, where the sixth card (in this case the Wheel of Fortune) was the distant past whereas here it's the near future. What matters is what you say it is when you lay the card in that position.
Personally, I think there is so much subjectivity(which can be enlightening as well)in tarot that it should most often be used for oneself. If the person 'asking' really cares to understand themselves in a tarot based form...they should learn the tarot.

I am a tarot reader, and I think your reading was very insightful. I would like to add my input. The client needs to leave his job (5-P) and start a new career (Page of P). I see 7-W as his feelings of being overwhelmed and struggling to stay on top. Temperence -his need to outweigh is current options. WOF - he is going to make a lot of money.
But then it is just harder to learn them if you've got your mind set on only uprights. I'm teaching myself upright and reversal so I'm not confused and impotent further down the road. But to each their own. I notice a lot of people don't use reversals 'cause they're harder'

There are many ways to read cards. The T&B INSTITUTE does not read reversals (upside down cards), so all the cards are kept the same direction when being shuffled. I hope that helps.

they can be expensive but some are very cheap, it depends on the artist i guess.
i found a set recently that came with a silk to hold the cards, a book to teach you and cards, all for 7 bucks.

...i have to agree with "imbluefire", this are just memorized meanings, you need to trust yourself while you read, see the card and ur mind will go places describe what you see to your client and she will put it together cause its her reading, her life, youll be amazed that the more you let go of control the more accurate and specific your readings are. you just need more practice, get to a point where you no long think on the cards meaning, but where the card takes your mind and trust that

I don't read 'reversals'. I believe the whole meaning of the card is there before me and it's my intuition that dictates what meaning the card shows.

I also heared you have to turn the cards around with the left hand, but hey, maybe he awnsered the question better then anyone else here could have done.
Also like other people responded: Torot is used in all kinds of ways, you can't say: This method is good and that is wrong. It's all about how you feel about it yourself, atleast that's what I understood after the book I read.

Not really - the meanings he ascribes to the cards are accepted interpretations for those cards in those positions. Also, tarot is an intuitive art, so once you learn the techniques and meanings and you read for a person, your interpretation is for that person depending on the question/s they have and the situation they are in at the time. And nothing is set in stone, you have your free will. What tarot does is give you insight.

It can go either way, depending on the people involved (querant and reader). I like some back and forth because it helps focus the reading. Also some cards ring a bell for people, and that's significant. As more cards are revealed you see relationships between different cards as well. Either way.

where did you learn how to read tarot cards? i ask you because i read 1 book of tarot and they had the same card set up but you read it in a different pattern. like the third card you turnd over you sad "in the past" and in the book i read said it was "what you strive for". so right now i'm a little confused. o_O

I have read dozens of books on tarot. There are as many different theories and layouts as there are authors. I recommend reading SEVENTY-EIGHT DEGREES OF WISDOM by Rachel Pollack. It is considered one of the best. Thanks for your comment. -Nathaniel Paluga

What matters is the intent when you lay the spread down. I've seen this one, the Celtic Cross, where the sixth card (in this case the Wheel of Fortune) was the distant past whereas here it's the near future. What matters is what you say it is when you lay the card in that position.

Personally, I think there is so much subjectivity(which can be enlightening as well)in tarot that it should most often be used for oneself. If the person 'asking' really cares to understand themselves in a tarot based form...they should learn the tarot.

Tarot has no historical connections with astrology or Kabbalah. The Tarot deck was created for playing a trick taking card game. Descendents of the original tarot card game are still played in France, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria. Tarot is really for card games, people!

I am a tarot reader, and I think your reading was very insightful. I would like to add my input. The client needs to leave his job (5-P) and start a new career (Page of P). I see 7-W as his feelings of being overwhelmed and struggling to stay on top. Temperence -his need to outweigh is current options. WOF - he is going to make a lot of money.

But then it is just harder to learn them if you've got your mind set on only uprights. I'm teaching myself upright and reversal so I'm not confused and impotent further down the road. But to each their own. I notice a lot of people don't use reversals 'cause they're harder'

There are many ways to read cards. The T&B INSTITUTE does not read reversals (upside down cards), so all the cards are kept the same direction when being shuffled. I hope that helps.
