  • Thanks!

  • It's sad that I actually go to college and I spend the free time that I have smoking weed and watching lectures online...

  • porn......

  • That website was invaluable to me. I watched some of the Deferential Equations classes before starting the class myself. Really gave me a "leg up".

  • hey thanks for the tipp

  • Fail.

  • in soviet russia, the internet downloads you!!!

  • This is of critical importance!

  • This is incredible. Just think of the implications of this. The average IQ of humanity will go up because of this.

  • holy shit thats awesome. Why have I never heard of this before? HOLY SHIT this was 3 years ago! I wonder whats been added since!

  • This is the greatest thing that I have ever found through random Googling. Sure, a person couldn't get a free degree this way. But someone who has perhaps been out of school for a while, in the workforce (unhappily) for a while, and who is interested in improving themselves, keeping their knowledge current and relevant or preparing for entering or returning to college could really find that this could be a great tool. I'm definitely going to spread this around.

  • Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Todd

  • do you guys sell marbles ?

Its great that anyone can access this info, brings to reality the true meaning of free education :D

  • you bored me in less than three seconds, goodbye

  • Sweet! A new record...

  • haha! gotta love the attention spans of youtube surfers.

  • Jesus, Tony, what's with the new look? You're starting to look like a reluctant metrosexual!

Seriously, I like it. Did you get a new girlfriend? A makeover on "Maury"?

More importantly, this is new information to me, and I will check it out,,and pass it on! Thanks much!

  • I've never heard of this resource. This is interesting. I went to the website; this looks great. I will be checking this out. Thank you for sharing this valuable information with us.

  • Hello how did you blue screen that ive been wondering, please help thanks

  • what are you like 16, 17. you gonna go hustle sum rocks come up on a lil' somin' somin', gtfo of here.

  • thanks man!

    it s a great opportunity.

  • I love MIT & love the concept of OCW, but I think mb4488 is right. I accessed the MIT OCW site shortly after its inception, & was a bit disappointed. More recently, I accessed the site again, expecting things to be vastly different, given the many years that had passed. They weren't - not as far as I could tell, at least. Most courses do not make their lectures available in either audio or video. Some (or perhaps most) that do, only make a subset of the lectures available. So what gives??

  • By the way, please prove me wrong. When it comes to talking trash about MIT, I'll be more than happy to eat crow.

  • it's more Marketing for MIT before anything else. Quite limited choices.

You should've made such a big deal out of it.

  • wow !!! this is great information. Thank you for sharing this.

  • Thank you :)

  • What language do you suggest? My father's thrid language was English. Just what are you suggesting? That a person in Germany and a person in the UK should speak some other language? Not all Americans are monolingual speakers if that is what you are inferring.

  • This is fabulous information. Cannot thank you enough for making this video.

  • COOL! I'm gonna check it out. Thanks!

  • Thanks for making this video,

    5/5 stars!

  • Seems to me that you're the one that's not listening. We're talking apples and oranges here. Why not do a vlog and speak your mind on the issue you bring up.

  • Go to the site and check out the OCW consortium. It is a world-wide effort, not limited to English speaking universities.

  • Thank you!!!

  • Awesome !

  • How is this different from a public library? Virtually all of the content for virtually any college courses is available from a library. So, how is the MIT Open Courseware project any different?

  • i wonder the same

  • The public libraries were the most most significant development of the 20th century, for the advancement of education. In my opinion, the internet, and projects like MIT OCW, will play that role in the 21st century. The difference is the ability of the computer to store, edit, search and access the data in a far more powerful way.

  • wow! great!

  • Thanks for this information!!!

  • This is what the web was invented to do!

    Mass enlightenment.

Free exchange of ideas is what will cause the species to evolve to the next step.

I'm gonna have to see if they have some recent course s on quantum physics - that field changes so quickly and I do so love it!

  • Someone asked to define Human, what does it mean? This is my answer, you, a human who loves to help educate other humans without wanting anything in return. Thank you for helping. For sure I would love to learn and will check out the link.

  • YOU are such a sweet guy, you think for others, You are a rare breed my friend, and have a way with words and vids to get a message over big THANK YOU to YOU for being YOU

  • Thanks!

  • This is especialy usefull for those out there that plan on an MIT education. It'll make passing easy, if you take a "sneak peak". Even without plans like that, knowledge is something nobody can take away from you.

  • I love the internet as you can find out anything on the web; I hear it first on the net!. (smile) Thank you!

  • THANK YOU

  • Thank You

  • WOW Excellent idea!!! Wonder why the media does not give this more exposure?!?

  • This is AWESOME!!! Thanks so much for passing on this tip!!

  • Wouldn't it be wonderfull if the best courses in the nation were available on-line and anyone who could pass a low cost competancy test on the course could recieve credit at their local community college or state university?

  • Thanks for putting this info out!

  • Hey RR, Thanks for sharing this information! You really don't know how much you have helped me by posting this Vlog, just let me say it is alot. Thanks!

  • great, thanks

  • Thanks for posting this, great idea.

  • Thanks for sharing this. I've already checked them out after watching an earlier video. There's certainly a lot there.

  • WOW! Thanks Tony! This really IS the coolest thing on the net! WOW!

  • Great job Tony. Thanks for the info.

  • Hey, Tony, I've been watching MIT's effort for over a year. I think it's a long way from where I'd like to see it, but it's a good start.

I haven't seen much progress yet on video lectures or laboratory exercises. Most of the textbooks aren't available on-line either.

The hardest thing is, you're on your own. If you have a question, you have to answer it yourself. We need a mechanism, I think, for "world students" to connect with and help each other, by class.

  • You're right. A forum based on the MIT site would be incredible...

  • Thanks for sharing this info! No one can never learn too much! Bravo to you!

  • Thanks, Monty!

  • Your so pleasant to the ear :)

    Where are you from?

  • Houston, Texas.

  • This IS cool...holy shit!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!

  • Glad to.

  • Getting some of the articles is going to be a pain, but I think you showed me my new timesuck.

  • Great information here Tony.. Great that your passing it on to us! Thank you.

But what I really want to know is WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO YOUR STACHE???

  • I sold it on Ebay... lol.

  • Oh man... that's where I bought mine...

  • Thanks Tony, Might put this to some use! Take Care...Andy Out!

  • Later, Andy.

  • Thanks Tony for this information... I would stop and talk longer but I'm going after an M-I-T education on a M-I-T-E's budget.

  • lol. I hear ya'...

  • Thank you Tony. I really appreciate your efforts in getting the word out about education opportunities. I'll have a look and give you some feedback later.

  • Thanks for watching.

  • Nice video, thanks for telling.

  • My pleasure.

  • Thanks!

  • Thank you letting us know about this, this is definitely one of the coolest things on the net.

  • I don't know why it's not promoted more. It's really great.

  • I just added a link in the description above. There is also an icon on the left middle of the MIT OCW main page that says OCW Consortium. Click on that...

  • how incredible! Thank you so much for posting this. I had no idea this type of thing was available. Cheers! Sandy

  • Thanks, Sandy.

  • Thanks for the insight! Off to check on the courses!

  • You'll be amazed...
